Will a Fore 03 cobra hat fit a 97 GT tank?

I'm in the process of collecting all the necessary parts to swap on a 2.6h KB onto my 03 cobra motor. I'm going to need to upgrade my fuel pumps no question. However I'm having trouble figuring out if I can swap the fore 03 cobra hat with ford GT pumps Into my 97 GT tank. Any info or advice would be fantastic.

I believe the opening on the tank has to be cut larger, plus I believe 97 had a return style fuel system which is different of the return less system the later gt's and cobras ran.
