Will Half shafts out of 99-01 cobra's work in an 03'

Broke one in my car and a guy is going to give me one. It came out of a 99 or an 01'. Will this work? thanks

the 01 will work the 99 wont. The 01 has a 31spline unit the 99 is 28spline.

Ok, so I got a FREE 99 Complete half-shaft 28 Spline. My quesiton now is.....My outer CV joint broke the one closest to the wheel. Is it possible to use the 99 shaft on my 03 shaft? I think they are both 28 spline outer if I read right.

If this will work are the 99's any weaker on the outer that say a 03 outer?

the '99 outer stub shaft will fit in the 03 hub as they're all the same between MN12, Mk VIII, and Cobra 99-04.

you may find that the '99 piece is substantially smaller and weaker compared to the 03/04 piece.

give it a shot and post back with your results.
