It was just a bad decision on my part. I traded an '08 Viper w/ 1,800 miles on it for the 500. At the time, that 662 hp just hooked me. The car was a beast in a straight line (especially w/ a Tune & Intake and DR's), but after the Viper, it just felt big, dumb, and clumsy. Nothing really wrong with the car, it was exactly what it was meant to be. I just found out the hard way it wasn't for me.
I ended up taking the '13 to a couple of Ford dealers and the third one gave me the best number for the car, and a ride home. Then I went shopping for another Viper.
I've had a few Mustangs over the years - 1980 Mercury Capri 4 banger Turbo, '85 GT, '93 Cobra(Supercharged), '95 R, and finally the '13 500. The 500 was easily the fastest and the R was the coolest, but to this day, the '93 Cobra was my favorite.
Now I've got a '21 TrackHawk on order and I hope it's not another big, dumb, and clumsy mistake. Right now I think it'll make a nice DD. If not, maybe a Model S Plaid is in my future? We'll see...
It'd be boring if we all had the same stuff.
Well I'd have to imagine the Viper is a helluva good reason to trade it away. Do you still have the Viper?
On the same line as a Trackhawk I'd like to get into a TRX. I have a 19 Ram as a daily and would love to daily a TRX but just can't persuade myself into such a high dollar daily driver.
