Okay, just installed a brand new pump. While the tank was out, we checked the sender, and it checked out fine (resistance check), looked fine, etc. Put the tank back in, and now its working even worse. Before it would register far more fuel than was in the tank, then drop precipitously towards empty. Now, it starts at empty and continues 'south'. The car had 1/8th tank left when we put the tank back in, and now the gauge reads empty. After a few miles driving its now almost a 1/4 tank past the empty mark.
Anyone got any ideas? I really dont want yet another car without a working fuel gauge...
