Pellet stove...fill the hopper and it starts up and shuts down by thermostat. I'll never go back to a wood stove.

Propane all day. Way easier and cleaner than pellets, and the fuel is stored in an underground tank and delivered to your home when needed. Plus you can change over several other appliances (stove, water heater, generator, etc.) to better improve your home's electrical outage preparedness.
