would a 5.0/5speed be worth $500?

my friend wrecked a mustang...
crushed the drivers side door in, crushed the roof. body aint no good

but the 5.0 engine is still good. trick flow intake and a few mods, 5 speed tranny, black interior..

i can get 200-300 after i strip it and take it to a junkyard. so i'll get half of the money back.

but i mainly wanted it, to put the engine into another car.

i had set another member from another board up to get it.. he was gonna offer 800 i think. so he could do a swap.
but she said he never called...been a week..so i went ahead and got it.
offered 500 and she said fine. i figured i could get my money back just from selling the cowl hood for a couple hundred, then junking the body should bring another couple hundred. so i'm basically getting it free. it also still has the cats. i know plenty of ppl that will buy the hood right now.

i'm gonna get in touch with the previous owner, to see what all mods were done to the motor. i know its not a stock motor though. i'm dropping it into my 87 gt. . after that, the current 5.0 motor in my 87 i'll rebuild or just sell. my 87 already has a 5speed so i'll sell the 5speed transmission. would the trannys be the exact same? compared from 87 to 95... should i swap the trannys?

gonna keep the engine, msd ignition, cai, trickflow intake,
blk seats (except drivers seat),
window motors, door lock buttons, window buttons,
passenger door, power window harness off the drivers door if i can get to it.
wing, brake calipers, rotors, headlights, door locks,
flowmasters will go on my 87 also

stuff that i already plan to sell:
cowl hood
black carpet and anything needed for a swap like the harness (to sell). rear gt bumper, spoiler, tail lights,

also included was a stock black hood and aftermarket side skirts.. but i havent seen the skrits yet, there at the previous owners house..i'll probably sell them unless i like em.
then im junking it.

anyways no its not cuz i have a junkyard. as soon i pull the motor and tranny.. i'm hauling it to a junkyard and cashing in on the body.
