I thinks it's BS, plus if there was that much crap on his laptop you're expelled if you return it, so just throw it out the car on the interstate :burnout: and haul ass. oh and make sure you don't score higher than an 85 on the test :D

its definitely possible. I didn't watch the video again, but if I recall, his research was rather important, no reason to treat it like a walk in the park

Everything he said about tracking it via Windows cd key and MAC address is very doable. The whole software thing I don't know that is sponsored I don't know about.

Everything the guy said is possible. I would have to say it is 100% true. What cracks me up is why would someone be recording this? If the guy would have been real smart he would have seen the person recording him.....and then found his laptop.

It could be possible, but it wasn't, This happened about 2 years ago as someone said, and the proffessor was basically just playing "good cop, bad cop" trying to scare the kid into turning the laptop in.

He was fishing, that is all. The way he worded everything proves that he had no clue, at least at that time who had his laptop. If he knew who had it they would have already been taken into custody. But he did have some stuff straight. You do not want to be in possession of stolen federal property, even if that property is simple software that is on a non federal computer.

What cracks me up is that he said *transponder in the laptop* LOL. If the person is smart they will remove all of the software after that little speech, and Format the hard drive about 10 times, swap out the network cards, wireless and LAN, and remove and serial data that is on or in the laptop. That could be difficult to do, so the best thing would just be to have a small fire involving that computer.

u sure know enough about computers or so you say, but what about spelling "possable"

p.s. can you really track a laptop, i.e. if mine got stolen?
