[QUOTE="cobra101, post: 590295, member: 6958"] Well, Let me first say My clutch has been TIGHT since day one (about 7 miles). I also saw on this board that is was common on early 03's especially. I thought it may loosen up but now at 10,000 miles it has not. I also have occasional chatter and squel from the TOB. I was going to bring it into ford to have them check the TOB and such (I saw all the threads about it here). I also heard when they fix the TOB/Retainer (possibly change the tranny), that the clutch is much looser after. Well, The other day I saw a yellow 03 at a gas station and decided to pull in to hear the exhaust on it. He had his cats (all 4) cut out and he put 2 small motorcycle cats in their place. He also had a stock cat-back with 2 chamber flowmasters welded in. It sounded great. After getting to talking I asked if I could push his clutch pedal to compare (his car also is 1 year old with about 10,000 miles). I did so and it was awesome. His pedal was so much easier to push in than mine. He went into my car and pushed in the pedal to see what I was dealing with. Before I knew it he was under the dash and looking at the pedal. Within 30 seconds (maybe less) he popped out from under the dash and said "Try it now". Well, I did, and mannn did it make a difference. It was like a different clutch pedal. It is now easier to push the pedal (perhaps 50-60% easier). Very noticeable immediately. I asked him what he did to it. He said there is a "barrell" or something like that underneath the pedal and he had to push the barrel and then adjust the pedal? or something like that. I do NOT have a quadrant or firewall adjuster (my car is stock). Well, it WORKED great. It has been like 3 days since the adjustment and It is still much softer than it was. I also have NOT heard a squel from the TOB since. It used to squel a couple of times a week. It would only last a few minutes than the squel would go away. I am sure a couple of you maybe know in more detail what exactly he did. If not I will email him and get a more detailed description of what he did. I also told him about this site (he only knew about svtoa). He said he would check it out. So if you are here yet, Thank You, Thank You, Thank you!!!! Ps. His yellow 03 looked and souned AWESOME!!
