Why a new block?
I would like to build a new shortblock with factory bore size. I have been offered a few built shortblocks here and sellers are asking more money than I can get one built and shipped.
The stock bore is what you're looking for. I know new 5.4 blocks are going up in price. Best of luck in your search.
Yes they have gone up a bit, MMR still has the best price and will be getting one there if nothing pops up. My block is already 20 over which is max on these motors.
