I waxed a whole lot of cars in my life and I've used 'em all and as have ALWAYS said, this whole Zaino this Mothers that saga, the best I have evr used is in my sig. It's all hype and marketing that drives this stuff. Just because it's expensive...doesn't mean it is the best.
Things that scratch cars:
Wash mitts that are used too much.
Terry cloth towels that aren't SOFT.
Running your car through a touchless wash and then wiping it down.
Plastic brushes.
Car dusters. (believe it or not)
Washing an unrinsed car. (always pre-rinse your car evenly)
Dirty fingertips.
Old squeegees.
Any "wax" that has a texture.

The more you put some type of wax, polymer, or any other type of coating on your car the better it will look.

Look at the sig.

I always used Kit as far back as the mid-70's. I use it today. I had a black 99 Cobra and decided I needed something a little more classier in wax so I bought a can of Mother's. It didn't apply too well, hell to get off and it gave a purple haze to the paint. I went in and got my Kit and waxed side by side with the area with the Mother's and the Kit was 10 times better. I think I'll stick with it although I used McGuires in a pinch one time and it seemed about as good as Kit.

"The Zaino/Duragloss rumor comes up at least twice a year and that is all it is a rumor or joke that gets brought up once in a while.."

I just wonder how the "Zaino is really Turtle Wax" thread has not popped up yet.

Even if they are related i'll continue to use Zaino. I havent used anything that was easier and made my car look as good.
