ZIP Ties and IMRC's

Ive seen a few threads on folks zipping up thier cables. Now ive looked back there and have located the 2 cables that I believe control the imrc's .. how are you guys zipping them open? any pictures? It sure is tight back there

The cable on the IMRCs get pulled to the center of the engine by the IMRC box. All you do is run a big zip tie from one imrc to the other and pull them tight. And that will hold them open.

i zip tied mine open to the cable stop on the back of the IMRCs. had it like that for two summers.

I took off my intake manifold. Disconnected the irmc control box then unbolted the butterflies flaps. And then zipped tied the irmc plates open :)

I'm also having an issue with this. Tried using many different strength/weight springs on the ends of the cables, but still having issues. If done correctly, will zipties keep the CEL from coming on at Wide open throttle?...or do you HAVE to get a tune to have them turned off?
