Hey all,

It seems to me as if the 99-01 cobra has taken a serious back seat in all the car rags lately. yes i know our snakes are older now, but i still see many articles involving 00' GT buildups, Fox buildups and if i have to see another pullied 03-04 i'm gonna puke. LOL

Anyway, I would like to develop/aquire a NEW EDGE archive of all good magazine article/tests/reviews involving our beloved NA all-aluminum motored snakes. So if anyone can post links to any good articles about our rides, please post them in this thread. Maybe the admins can make this a sticky too.... :rockon:

I always find a way to own a red headed step child. My 94 5.0 was shown no love in the rags and now my 99. Happy to be different.

i hear ya... im still one of the few mustang owners that know there something besides an 03 cobra

i should be in it in the following months.

When my friend had his '01, he collected every mag that had a tech article on the 99/01 and was cataloging all of it. He asked if I wanted them but said no. I'll see if he still has all of them but I doubt it.

Do that. If he has them, maybe you could do a high-res scan of them and post em up (or I can host them)... thanks for checking :-D !

I did pretty much the same thing when I got the 01 way back when. I have a magazine articles from Car and Driver, Motor Trend, Road and Track, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords and possibly a few others all cut out and put in a binder.

Problem is I just moved and I don't know which box the binder is in! Haha. If I find it in the next few weeks and I can scan the articles, I'll post them up here.

The 10th Anniversary SVT book that I got when I purchased my 2003 Cobra has a quite extensive section on the 99/01 Cobra's. I'll see if I can scan it.

In fact the car on teh cover is none other than a red 99/01 Cobra.

It's going to happen to us 03-04 owners too. It already is with this GT500!!! I feel your pain.

The GT500 will be a beast for sure, however it is SO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT that there will never ever be a mustang quite like the Terminator again. Regardless of what the GT500 does there will always be a special following for terminators. Just as to some extent there is with the 99/01 cars.

I can say that when I ask open racers about mustangs in general, the 99/01 cars are what's to have.

i thought i had the link to that article in muscle mustangs about the FR500 cat back on a stock 01, but i don't, anyone else have it?

He has the mags and will hand them over sometime this week. It's a lot of stuff but I'll scan them and host for a while to test the waters. Will take a chunk of time to complete but I'll post up stuff as I do it. I think I have a good idea of how it should be done.

I have the single page brochure (made of lightweight cardboard) that must have come from the dealership. It says 2001 Cobra and has a picture of a silver Cobra on the front, and on the back has all the specs/options for the '01's. If it's wanted, I can scan and e-mail it to someone. (I'm "not allowed" to post attachments, and don't have the ability to host). FWIW (probably nothing) I also have all the "SVT Enthusiast/SVTOA" Magazines.

i have that brochure for the 99 at home somewhere also, wow its been a long time since i've seen that, email it to me at [email protected] and i'll post it for you.

I have a lot, too busy right now but if this becomes a sticky I will post the month and year of the articles I have.
