There is a way to express your freedom and rights, but you don't need to be an ass to someone who is willing to work with you about it. I think the people recording this were being a bunch of smug instigators and they look for confrontations like this just to try and make people look stupid instead of educating them in a meaningful manner.

I agree, I thought the cop was spot on also.

so let me get this straight. They go out in public all strapped up? why do you need to show your weapon? I can't stand douche bags like that. Defend it all you want but there is no need.
That cop was cool as hell. He should have said look a$$w000s, you look ridiculous and all your doing is causing more problems.

you look ridiculous and second I doubt your going to encounter any situation where you will need your gun. If it just so happens you find yourself in a situation and have to use your gun your going to be a some DEEEP S***, if you mess up.

The guy in red should look for a treadmill to save his life before the gun....jokers.

There are some stupid laws....I think if people are scared and you are causing aproblem then the cop should have the right to tell you to put your gun away. These technical laws are stupid. The cop can't look at the serial number, hahahahha this country is retarded at times.

As a gun owner having guns out in the open is not a good idea.

true. if a criminal knows you are carrying, they're certainly not going to give you a chance to use your weapon to defend yourself. carrying like that is a good way to find yourself in a hold up with the gun at the back of your head.

To me your friends were being asses trying to get the LEOs to do something wrong.
Their whole article is one sided and they seem like extreemist.

I agree. A few times they made some smart ass remarks to the officers. I'm sure they were hoping to get the cops fired up on tape. They really aren't helping their cause any with these actions.

What a bunch of clowns. Why carry an unloaded gun? So you look cool or what? LMAO If you want to carry a gun open, on your side, in your hand, in your belt or hidden away just move here to AZ. You can do all that and get fully auto guns even machine pistols; or them big and bad .50 cal monsters. I don’t carry one but I see people all the time and every where with them. It is no problem and I think it is great. You don’t even need a permit; just a gun and your good to go.

Both officers did a GREAT job and were complete gentlemen in the situation. It was obvious the two guys wanted an argument and were trying to seem superior to the officers by lecturing them.

Anyone else think the guy holding the camera sounded like a chick, or a dude who's balls hadn't dropped?

Oh, also, if they were in Long Beach and ran into trouble....I sure hope that they can load those guns within a split second or they're screwed

Exactly!!!! Are they really that dumb???

Also....if a cop has to go through this crap with every law abiding, although retarded, gun toting citizen who decides to do this, it will be a huge waste of resources and turns the cops attention to the good guys instead of the bad guys.

On another note....if I was a thug and decided I needed a gun, it would be so much easier for me to jump one of these tools and take theirs rather than robbing a home, robbing a gunstore or coughing up my drug money to some arms dealer. Not only do I get the gratification of taking some punks gun, chances are the guy who I stole it from probably won't even report it stolen if it means he has to explain how his ignorance has now put a gun into some criminal's hands.

I'm all for carrying LOADED and CONCEALED weapons ANYWHERE....but there is no sensible defense for carrying a gun exposed like this.

All we need now is a video of one of these guys getting jumped and disarmed....that would be the ultimate ownage of all time!

This. That guy was a ***. Seems like the two were just out trolling trying to be dicks about carrying.

The cops were really professional about the whole thing. Less arrogant talking on part of the loudmouth dude carrying would have been win all around.

your friends need a damn life. I cant stand tool bags like that. I never carry open ever. that is just drawing attention to yourself like a idiot. Like because they have a gun makes them have a 10ft d*ck. I hate that crap. I guess their life is really that sad that they needed to become the biggest tool bags ever and needed the attention to make them feel better about them self.

these guys obviously wanted to have the cops get out of hand and end up on the news so they could sue someone. they deserve a punch in the face for sure.

Its good they were demonstrating their rights, but they could have been slightly more mature about the situation. I.E identifying themselves... who the hell is that going to hurt, the cop usually just wants to make sure youre not actually a convicted murderer who is going to shoot him....

Overall, props, despite being slightly arrogant, a well handled situation by all involved, the cops could have very easily gotten out of hand...

I think the old man LEO did a good job. If he didn't know or remember the answer he tried to get the answer or in 1 case he took their word since they seemed to know. He didn't argue.

So they are pissed about being detained?
Sorry but if the LEO's get a call from the mall about people carrying weapons do you expect them to NOT check it out.

To me your friends were being asses trying to get the LEOs to do something wrong.

This, right here, all of it.....

Having weapons unloaded on you is like pushing your car down the street because you ran out of gas but there is five gallons in the trunk. Retards

Sadly the communist ways of California have forced citizens into the position of carrying unloaded weapons. Probably why they are going out of their way to exercise the rights they have remaining. Can't fault them for that.

your friend is an idot and does not hide his real agenda very well. seems to me like he was looking for a fight and is pissed that he didn't get one. Frankly I have no problems with open carry, but it is the LEO's JOB to see to it that the open carry law is followed to the letter. I don't give a shit if he is pissed that he got stopped. had the mall called and the cops did nothing and your friend then shot someone you would be crying that they didn't do their job.

you can't have it both ways sport. open carry with the occasional stop to be checked out or leave your ****ing gun at home. either way you will get no sympathy or support from me for your friends stupid.

The law is the law. He was completely legal. In that sense, he has every right to be upset for being detained, as he was legally, open carrying. Things are different out here in CA.

Legally, you can carry loaded magazines on your belt as well as a unloaded handgun, they just can not be in contact.
