Both are impressive engines and just about equal in performance. I agree that adding an intake and tune on either would be game over. Seeing the two engines being pretty equal in that video, give me the Ecoboost for the gas mileage edge.
6.2L ------ 13mpg city, 18mgp highway, 14mpg combined
Ecoboost - 16mpg city, 22mpg highway, 18mpg combined

I love the ecoboost, but I still thiink I'd get the 6.2. 6.2 with a whipple=bad a$$ Does anyone have any real world towing fuel economy on the two?

My brother has an ecoboost with a Bully dog tuner ( tuner only) it added 40 hp and 55 ft lbs, 87 octane tune, it's a ton of fun. It's a super nice truck, v good milage and quick.

pulling trailers loaded they do about the same 12-13 mpg. The two engines numbers are really close. 365hp 420tq for the eco and 411hp 434tq. what the eco lacks in hp, it makes it up by making 420@2500. both excellent choices in my book
