in some states, if you wish to take the ticket to court and contest the charge, you can ask for the hearing to be held in your county seat. if it is two hours away from where the officer lives, he is much less likely to come and therefore, you are more likely to have the charges waived.

HUHH???? What state is that? A change needs to be handled in the county or juristiction the offense took place. About the only exception is high profile case that get a change of venue so the defendent is most likely to get a fair trial.

In northern NY many towns have a reduction request form which you can fill out and send in. I would see if you can get one. Baically you just write some well thought out BS and hope they reduce your ticket. I spent 4 yrs in potsdam and have a little experience with that. Good luck
