I did the same thing back in November. These things are rocket ships with just TBE and a tune.

I smoked a 05-08 Yellow GT in it this morning. I was hoping my first kill wouldn't be a Mustang, but it was a white sunglasses, crooked hat douche. lol He revved at me at a light, I turned off traction control, locked all 4 wheels and left him like he was standing still.

If you think its quick now put a turboback on it and have it protuned and it becomes an entirely different car. I have a 05 STi I dd that has all the "Stage II" crap, is protuned, has a nice suspension... The thing absolutely rips. I've outrun friends with supercharged GT's and bolt-on LS1's even.
I won't rag on you for the BOV since everyone else has ;-) If its tuned for it though, you'll be fine. I would encourage you to at least get it on a dyno though and have the tune checked out before you lean on the car too often.

Thanks. I'm going to Cobb next week to get it protuned and have them run over the car so I know exactly what's on it. Or if I don't like what's on the car I'll have it swapped out for stuff I like. The BOV came on the car. I don't care about the sound. I just want whatever is on it to work and make it faster. Only thing I'd really like to switch out is the exhaust. I love the treated titanium tip look with the Subaru Blue. Car gets tint today.
Bring it out to the Charity cruise tomorrow. Tons of country, twisty backroads cruising for a great cause. And you can hear this insanely loud blower ripping through the countryside. :lol1:

congrats! I've always wanted one of those. I had the chance to get my old 04 svt focus back recently and just couldnt pass up the price so I'll have to live with it for a while until I cant stand it and upgrade it to an sti. I want the hatch in alpine white with gold bbs wheels.
Here are some shots I got of my new(ish) STi and my buddies GTO. It was pretty much pitch black out so they didn't come out as good as I wanted but still pretty cool. I ran an 8.1 in the 1/8th last week with a 1.7 60ft at 86mph. Weighed it at 3198 with me in it.
Thats awesome! Got an 06 model myself, prefer the 08-10 body style more but for the price had to get the 06.
