If you're doing a budget project, look for a rear end out of an automatic Turbo Coupe. They are 3.73s and have the Trac-Loc

Work that was performed:
Ported Bowls
ShortSide Radius
Cleaned up guilds
Smooth Chambers
Decked to 63cc

The guy said they're not "hugged out". Here's what they flowed:

65 131 183 220 239 240 243

exhaust

46 89 105 115 122 125 126
50 105 128 145 153 158 161

All flowed @28" H2O

What do you guys think about them and what do you think they should be worth? I'm hoping that I got a good deal.

Still looking for 1.6 roller rockers , cam and push rods~!

I'm ordering a 347 stroker kit next week.
BTW, the 4k budget is out the window~! I'll end up with probably around 10k in this thing when I'm finished.

Total thus far with out heads(i'll tell you head price once you guys tell me what you think they're worth), stroker kit, cam, push-rods, roller rockers. $2605

no offense, but those flow numbers support a 306 much beter than a 347... just my opinion. i have a set of afr 165's that are p n p'ed and flow over 265 at .550... unny thing is the head on my escort flows 278 @ .400 and is a MONSTER from 4000 to 7800 rpm's... :)
come see me at the beach sometimes man!

That's what someone else was telling me as well. I may have them ported again before putting the motor together. When I asked the seller about the flow numbers he said "the guy that ported them his numbers are nortoriously low", and that I need to take them somewhere else and get them flowed before sending off to get ported again.

What do you think they're worth ?

I'm in MB once every few months. it's only about 1.5 hours away, depending on traffic of course.

ive built a lot of motors, 3 306's and 3 in my escort zx2/focus zx3. ive gotten 315 front wheel hp out of my turbo escort before i sold the motor. that being said, you will get different numbers on different benches. i would compare the percent of increase rather than the flow numbers themself. but thats just me. you can never have enuff head for a 302 based motor. the motor is more than large enuf to move the car under any situation. my dream motor for a n/a 302 based unit is:

dart 331 -10.25 cr
ported victor efi
.605 lift cam, 238* durations
crane anti pump lifters
kooks 1 7/8's header
pro chambers and spinteks
3.73's tko 600
afr 205's or victor jr

this combo would be streetable - i promise

oh yeah pm me about the stroker kit ;)
