I disagree... somewhat...

You can with one Raw image. It is more along the lines of tonemapping though. It gives pretty much the same effect.

Right, you can do it with one RAW image, but not one JPEG. Since no one ever posts a RAW file, for all intents and purposes, you cannot make an HDR out of a single picture.

ninety5fiveoh is the reason I bought the Photomatix program. Seeing those pictures made me need the program...

^ They would be. And some may not show up at all. It wouldn't work very well. But if the people aren't the focus of the picture, it might be pretty cool. One guy posted some with people and it didnt turn out to bad!!

All awsome pics but it makes me wonder......what would a person like a beautiful woman look like in HDR? can someone make this pic of scarlett johansen look like HDR? i'm just curious......

I got a degree in photography like 5 years ago and I have never heard of this. Looks like I'm going to have do dust off the camera and see what I can do.
