In for mt82 results.

I'm going FI in a few weeks and am worried about having to shift into 5th to get 130+ mph as my car is a 3.73 car.

3.31's, 275/60-15, 7K redline and 4th got me 135 at the finish line. It bumped the limiter in 4th before crossing the line. I think the online calculator I used showed 133 mph with my setup at redline but I dunno if it compensated for tire growth (if there is any at this speed)

11.2 at 126. 100% stock drive train with stock pulley Paxton on radials. Hope to put slicks on and lower my 60' to get into high 10s before I turn it up or install my t56 Magnum sitting in the gafage.

Glad to see this thread! Hope to finally get mine to the track this coming spring, but I need to make some changes to the suspension before then. My current setup is too stiff IMO. Handles great though, lol. Got this stuff in last week that I need to get installed as well:

I haven't been to the track yet but so far my pb mt82 has 15k miles on it and hasn't broke, I consider that a record lol.

11.62 @ 117 back at the end of summer.

With the weather right now Im sure I could go 11.5x as it sits but the track near me closes in August, so no hero runs for me, maybe in the spring.

Mods are o/r x-pipe, bama tune, UCA, ram clutch, 15x8 jegs wheels with Hoosier QTP's

Why is it hero runs? Move south and you can race in cold weather too! Kinda reminds me of high school when I was accused of cheating because I had nitrous, lol!

^good times! What was your 60?

Thanks. 60' was around 1.52 or 1.54, I cant remember which off the top of my head. I was dumping the clutch around 5500.

I only got two runs in that day and the first run I missed 3rd gear. If I was able to get a couple more passes in and launch around 6k, I know I would of ran an 11.5x.

10.7@133 bogging on the launch with my mt82, 60' was 1.69. A few suspension mods have been done and with the new short block going in I can crank up the boost. Going for a 9 sec mt82 car!

I went 11.76 @ 116 late this year leaving @ 5500 with a best 60 Ft. of 1.60. Getting ready to take some weight out, add headers & tune for E85. Then make a serious run at the 10's NA. There have been a few cars I know of go low 11's locally with MT-82's. I believe the record is still 10.88 for a NA powered MT-82 car.

11.6@122 - NA. 1.82 60 foot. 2500 DA. ran that a few times consistently.

MT82 has 20k miles and its a 2012. Aluminum flywheel may be helping. it only missed a shift to 3rd one time. I have the Steeda red / black motor mounts and that really helped.

With the small fluid capacity of this light weight small trans, that air scoop is mandatory for hard driving.. I could not touch my trans after I pulled into the pits after consecutive runs. Also, if you heat it up, change the fluid a lot.
