We thought we would share a few pics of the new MMR powerplant with the SVT Forum members, although we cannot give away too much information at the moment we can tell you it is set to debut @ the track in the coming month! The MMR race team and engineers expect this engine to replace its current 5.4 DOHC engines that have produced in excess of 2500HP Enjoy!

And yes, that is a Magneto, identical to the one a Top Fuel or Funny car uses (except they use 2 LOL)

I would imagine it would be so they could get rid of the giant wiring harness and run a very simple computer system and eliminate a lot of weight and clutter.

Probably shooting through the firewall and the piping is probably run into the cockpit as well...

the reason the isn't one on the front of the intake manifold is because there isn't gonna be one, it'll be on the back. the charged are will be routed to an a/w intercooler in the car somewhere...
