Probably should have put this over in the "R" forum, but trying to figure out the correct thickness for the Brembo pads. Hawk lists the HB194 pad in the 0.570" thickness as correct (FMSI D592), but MM lists the 0.665" pad. Most other vendors say it is the thinner of the two, but some still say the thick one is correct (i.e., the Viper pad). Anyone?

Forty views and no clue from anyone. Guess I'll call MM or Hawk during the week...

No help here, so figured it out. Same pads as the 2000 Viper for the Brembo users out there...

FMSI Outline #D592 (.665”/17mm thick)
Brembo: 107.6953.12 (Galfer 3214FF)
EBC (Red): DP31031C
Performance Friction: 1053.10
Hawk: HB194x.665
Centric: 10X.05920

The thinner .570" pad is actually the correct pad for the 00 R calipers. But................. the .665" Viper pads do fit and you get more pad material to boot.

FWIW

Thanks Bruce, that makes sense, and gives more options since there are a lot of the .570" pads out there! The current Galfer set I have is 17mm thick, so wanted to be sure. I suppose it would have come together when I hung the calipers!

What are you replacing the Galfers with?

Keeping the Galfer pads for now. When the time comes to change, could go with Hawk, EBC, or even Galfer again, but not sure. Hopefully these will work fine at the moment.
