He's not running any more WHP than you are... I wouldn't be surprised if he was under 500wheel

Run him and put it on video so we can see him cry over how much money he spent to do that.

Shoulda asked how much torque he puts out lol :burnout: Few more mods on your car and by by mr 900hp g35. haha that was my old car, and dont get me wrong, not bad engines at all but the $$$ you need to dump in to get that power is ridiculous, plus it still couldnt compete with the shelbys + cobras running around.

Ok well Ive been to S&R performance for a Wang Gang Dyno day.(Gay ass group that lose power with ported blowers) Anyways, Ive actually seen alot of their work in person and listen to the owners of these cars. Most of them have issues speaking an understandable english and I wouldnt take my car to them what so ever. Reminds me of Sam @ Coastal dyno.

Everyone nut swinging off of Sam then Hermann(HBH) came to town and then people started to change their minds about Sam. After Hermann went back up north they all jumped on S&Rs nuts. Its truly sad actually and I feel that they give alot of false information to their customers.

To add to what I have said before. I am speaking from what I have seen out at the street races from their average customers/builds. And as long as I live in Florida my car will be taken to Justin Starkey at VMP Tuning. These things cost to much money to have a half ass or piss poor toooner.....

4G63 > VQ35/37 :p

Don't even start that mess man. There's already a 1000rwhp VQ37 build going on as we speak (Z not a G), and there's already been a dyno queen 350z that made 859hp. Link:

[nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDO9Ho1kKhs"]YouTube - GTM MOTORSPORTS VQ35DE 855 RWHP 819 RWTQ @ 22 PSI[/nomedia]

And here's the 1000rwhp 370z project link:

GTM Performance Engineering VQ45VHR-Our Journey to The 1000 HP and Beyond - Nissan 370Z Forum

Comparisons like saying X engine is better than Y engine is just stupid... oh and just to stir the pot a little more, here's a nice little 1/4 from a bolt-on/tuned/geared/stock tires Z:

12.68 @ 111.4 bolt-ons/stock tires - Nissan 370Z Forum

The VQ37 is a very capable engine. The 4G63 is pretty cool too. Can't we all just be friends?

ON A SIDE NOTE:

That G35 is probably making upwards of 500rwhp (being generous here!). He probably just read that the turbos are capable of 900hp so he thinks he's got a race car. Your car is pretty sick by the way.

You say don't start that mess then procede to try and back up why the VQ is a better motor with a buncha useless info? Who cares what a bolt-on blah blah blah 370z ran? What's that have to do with this thread? And fwiw there is no comparison to what a vq motor has done to the long history of the 4g63t.

I never said anything about the VQ being a better engine. I was merely showing that it can be capable just in case some people have never heard of some high power VQ builds. The VQ series has a history of oh... about 8 years (from '03 to '11). I could really care less about the amazing history and triumph that is the 4g63t. Congratulations man. You own a real piece of history :bored:

And it has everything to do with this thread... the car in question has a VQ series motor. :rollseyes:Why are you people so defensive.

Edit: That was supposed to be 8 years of COMPETITIVE history. If you want to get technical it's been around since '94.

....wow... :rollseyes ...i like the fact you had to go outta your way to find that 1 in a 1,000,000 stroked VQ that is shooting for 1000rwhp.... i bet for the amount of money for parts and labor being put into this project, they could've built two 2JZ motors pushing the same amount of HP.
...and....wait......can you hear that?.........its a stampede of 370Z owners rushing to dump $60k+ to get their car past the 1000hp mark! :bored:

I didn't go out of my way I'm a member of the370z.com and I've been reading the build since day one. And excluding the price of the 370z, I'm not really sure how expensive the build is. I suppose I could ask him but $60k+? No you don't see a stampede of owners because 1000hp is ridiculous. No one needs that unless they're building a drag car. I think it's just a "look at what we can do!" sort of thing. Come on, what kind of argument is that? ;-)

yeah, but Nissan wasnt racing the VQ. the engine that powers the Calsonic Nissan GT is a VH motor, not a VQ.

Actually they used a twin turbo 3.0L VQ series engine (VQ30DETT) for their JGTC/Super GT race cars for a few years I believe.
