Im gonna try to be at the dyno day as well. There are a few fast terminators in greenville too, there is a black vert in g-vegas making over a 1000 hp and he drives it a good bit!(turbo car) maybe he will be there :D

Go to the Shelby GT500 forum and see if TheBull will run you. He runs an Eaton. He's in the 1200 RWHP range IIRC.

I hate to pop up on a new forum and look like a troll right away, and i'm sure that's how this looks, but I didn't have much luck on LS1tech (not as many cobra owners as I thought over there I guess). I haven't had the opportunity to race any KB or Whipple cobra's since I've put a D1 on my Trans AM over a year ago. I am leaving the country soon on a deployment and wanted at least one opportunity "stretch the legs" on my TA before its parked in a garage for about 10 months.

I'm in upstate SC, (GSP area) about 1.5 hrs from Columbia and not too far from the NC state line. If anyone is relatively close to me and wants to have a little fun, let me know and we can kick them off. I don't want to narrow it to just cobra's either. If someone has a car in general with >500hp and is close, you are welcome to race also.

Thanks

2000 Trans AM, forged 347, D1sc

im kinda with the majprity on this one. why not wait for track day at a 1/4 mile track. you can roll out and run it from 25. legally.

youll find mild to wild termi's gt500's, vipers, turbo supras and no impounds.

Rock's car (76mm Turbo now, used to be 91mm). I told ya'll I know most of the fast cars in the area. I had my car tuned at Rock's shop.

I have two weeks until I leave the country. Doesn't leave a lot of time to wait. Nearest 1/4 mile strip is over 2 hours away from me.

Damn guys, cut this guy some slack. He's in the military and is going to deploy. I felt the same way and ended up racing a claimed 10second turbo civic in November before I deployed at the beginning of December. Did I know I was going to win? Yes, pending an act of god. Still, we get so busy with training and deployments it's hard to find the time for our hobbies. So, I took what I could get.

Besides, I know that some here firmly believe that a KB/Cobra is at or near the top of the food chain.

OP, if you're coming through Kabul, let me know. I'd love to find someone around here to chat about cars with.

I'm more than likely spending all my time at BAF. You have more of a chance of coming through there than I have of passing through Kabul. Look me up if you do. 228th TTSB - S1 section.

He's just looking for a race. Nobody is trying to embarass your beloved cobras.....some guys are sensitive lol

I didn't realize I needed to to walk on eggshells around here.

Just come out next time and say. Hey I have a stout F body 700 RWHP. Looking to meet a similar setup car at a local track. Now the race could be arranged elsewhere but who's to know :) Your best street race is a chance meeting. What fun is it to go on a bear hunt where the bear has been getting feed at noon under the same tree for 10 days and you come along on day 11 and kill him :( Good things come to those who wait.....

I think I can probably swing that. One of my sister companies is at BAF, and I move my Soldiers through there pretty often.

Cool deal. I'll actually be in country in the middle of March.

Seeing as how i'm not driving to NY, you are not my Huckleberry.

Where are you located in "upstate ny?" Depending on your location, Myself and some other local friends could gladly replace the OP's call out...
