Bingo!
Those in the know have wanted to keep it all quiet...but personally I'm damn tired of getting emails and phone calls from customers wondering if we've got the idle tune yet.

BTW, SCT did threaten to revoke his licence.....that's when the lawers were called.

I am Jon Lund.... Not quite sure who you are nor do I care but you are woefully misinformed.... SCT has not threatened me with anything nor do I have any "lawers" spell check dude.. Lawyers...

This indeed is why I refuse to post or assoicate with forums because rumors get blown so far out of control.

I stoled nothing. The Cammed file was solely created derived off a GT 5.0 in Ohio and massaged to the point it could be sold. The Ford Racing Individual that created the "Boss Cammed Idle" has not even released it yet. He is good friend of mine and in fact was amazed the cammed idle was even figured out let alone sold.

The reason it was stopped being sold was Ford Racing ask me to not sell it as the Boss 302 was going to be released with there Trac Key and they were going to "Patent" the Technology. Even though the cammed idle is done differently than the Boss Trac Key, I choose to respect there request and get back to normal tuning and stop selling it.

SCT has a copy of the file as they swipped it off customer #3... Yeah I tracked the files... Chris Rose got the "Value File" From SCT and it would not stop stalling because when you copy files that don't show all the items not all items get copied.... Chris Rose called me and ask for help and shared the value file, its my file exactly, even down to the 6th decimal place in a few spots... amazing..... This was done on purpose for the "Toooning Shops" that use Value files instead of there own work. Guess it worked !!!!!!!!!

I have no attorneys nor need one..... But I suggest you find out the truth from the source before you type anymore on a forum.

The main reason no one else has figured out the "cammed" idle is they have not tried hard enough...

I hope all of you can now move on to some other topic and get a life...

Happy Lopey Idle !

Well, the ghost tune sounded good, but then again, so does having a Playboy Playmate waiting for you in bed. Then after a couple of weeks all the headaches begin to surface.

Constant nagging and stalling of the car
Endless shopping with your credit car and 3 - 5 mpg decrease
Top restaurants and premium fuel
Reduction in sex and consistent bogging / stalling

It is what it is...

It kinda sounds like a value file was made but it did not make ALL the changes required hence the stalling issues except for the tuner that originated it. For those that are not familiar a value file is a file that you load to make changes to the tune rather than manually going in and changing parameters. It is to speed up the tuning process but is just a starting point and many do not use them at all.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a total ricer mod?

If the technology is available, why not take advantage of it?

My 12 second car sounds better (in my opinion) than my 8 second car!

Because you are adding a 'sound/decal/body kit/etc' to the car to make it SEEM faster when in reality it isn't. That's called rice. If you want to rice out your car, that's your own deal but then no complaining when you see a ricer Honda on the road lol

I know with the VVT of the 5.0, hoping for a really loping idle from aggressive cams is really a thing of the past, but I don't think this is the way to go about achieving it. I'm sure there will be some more aggressive cams that come out that give you a somewhat lopey idle AND most importantly a good increase in WHP

So, when you add an axle back to your car because you like the sound over the stock exhaust, you're bring a ricer?

SO you realize ford tune the cams to make them quiet right? You realize that they are aggressive fromt eh factory right? please do some homework before spouting off rice, its a cool mod but the gas/drivability is crap

Lighten up, Francis. You post up as to how you don't post - then you post again. The forum community is chock full of ignorance and jackassery. But like a double edged sword, if you so choose to engage in commerce within the hobby, then dealing inaccuracy and innuendo is a foregone conclusion. You can't have it both ways.

so this is my read on it.....lund figured it out, didnt steal anything, just a smart guy, everyone else copied it off a Lund file BUT didnt get it "all" hence the "idle quality issues ( Lunds doing...again smart guy). FORD GOT PISSED IT WAS OUT THERE PERIOD!!! They started threatening legal issues ( Lund says they "asked" he not sell it anymore...WINK WINK....Lund AGAIN smart guy...they "asked" haha!!) and he "agreed" to not sell it anymore...Fords happy now, their new track key sound unique to their new bad ass Boss ( and it is) has been effectively preserved for the top of the line 5.0 product. This is basically what I heard well over a month ago. Way to go Lund for being smart enough to figure this out in the first place , and being smart enough to know when its time to fold the tent so to speak ....I'm sure a happy Ford will be MUCH more valuable to you in the future than a lopey tune would be for now....played well IMO!!
