Once we fix the lockout issue we'll be down to run trust me. its all fun for us. I got mad respect for cobra's but you guys need atleast 100hp more (wheel) to hang with people. their just heavy and make great power but the power to weight ratio kills them
we just hate it when people lose and come up with ricer excuses. shit we lost to a vette on the bottle recently. we're we mad...nope. gonna fix the issues and come out harder:beer:

basically my cousins neon was built on a budget. got the car for 2500 with 100k miles on the motor and tranny. i pulled the motor and built the whole car with $6500. we replaced the input shaft with accelerator shaft and extended first gear so we can get out of the whole but didnt refresh up the tranny internals. i think the syncros might be bad cause we cant even WOT at the normal redline for our car (6k stock). the car runs but its not worth running it when we cant stay in boost between shifts with our 62mm turbo.

we ran masoods 460hp vette on 100shot (i miss understood how much spray he was running) vs our 460hp tune.

Cobra's don't 100 more HP to run with other cars. That's what you may have "heard" but I can tell you from all my races that's untrue. Even with a c5z you a cobra only needs about 50ish more to run even. Now if your comparing a cobra to some 27/2800 lb car maybe but even then I don't think we need 100hp.

we weigh 2850 cobra's weight like 3600. brandon on his race tune raced our big turbo buddy Jose from SJ. JOSE made 405hp/430tq and beat brandon 615hp tune. it was a close run all the way to 150ish.....

Does jose have a red srt4? If so my buddy in a red cobra gave it to him pretty bad. He was making 600rwhp. He got him pretty bad iirc. I know jose if he's the same one we are tallking about. Real good friend with him.

jose does own a red srt. He ran that 650hp red cobra but the owner only wanted his roll (40-120) so of course...cobra won by 2 cars. thats 245hp more than what jose made lol

Jose said he was making 470 and Brandon was making about 580 that night and pulled him top end. Everyone had their own stories I guess. Your boy Jose couldn't walk away from a pulled cobra that trapped 114(orange one). Jose said he was making 370 that night. If Jose is still around set me up with him pump gas to pump gas.

Wow this blew up quickly yet again.. op: As for Jose's SRT-4 I ran him the same night and I was told 470whp.. I ran him with about 565rwhp (just found that out a while ago actually) and I lost the 1st run due to a slipping clutch, then the second run I beat him by I think 1/2 a car to a car when it didn't slip.. good runs.. Everyone just needs to get along.

Wow! There is way too much stuff for me to quote in here so i'll just post. Mike you should stop with the ls2 shit cuz thats old. I have a stock ls1. Ajmir knows exactly what he's talking about because he helped install it lol. I have texted/asked people to run over the last 4-5 months and it just doesn't happen. So don't make it sound like i've been avoiding runs because I don't do that. Luckily I don't care if I get a race or not so it doesn't bother me. Not only do I see tony I also see masood here and there and we never talk about running. Seems like YOU want the runs to happen more then the guys that have the cars. If the runs happen thats cool....If not thats cool too. And Brandon hasn't been around my car for the last year so he isn't up to date so his opinion means nothing. The dyno numbers aren't a myth. I haven't been on the dyno since I added the rear end which sucks up some hp. I have no doubt in my mind that my car makes LESS then 430hp. I do appreciate the ls2 compliment though :thumbsup:
