That Army thing was clearly edited. My Air Force basic was closer to the Marine one shown here.......

Dang bro- it's not that serious. We're all on the same team right? Sheesh:rollseyes

Yes we are all on the same team and I've always felt that way. Each branch of service is important and each job regardless of what it is important. But based on 90% of the marines I have ever talked to you wouldn't think so. Who started this thread again? Oh yea....... Why am I even wasting my time.

Wow- I thought you really got it until I read the last 2 lines. Oh well. The concept is lost on some people.:nonono:

The real irony here is you are the only one here bashing another service....:poke:

The one intelligent thing desertcobra said is " Each branch of service is important and each job regardless of what it is important" .... while the AF might have it easier in some regards everyones role is important. Thanks for your service:beer:

I'm prior Army. That is not how my basic training reception went back in 88. But regardless we are all fighting for the same reason whatever branch we are or where in.

Being I have served in both the Marines and Army and as a Drill Sergeant at Fort LeonardWood that is depicted in the video, that is 100% accurate. Army BCT has changed a lot and went through a major change around 2005.

Some of the stuff I saw at FLW as a hat disgusted me and seeing some of those shitbirds graduate that had no business graduating what so ever! But hey, each branch has their own mission and business is done differently for the desired affect for each.

Just noticed your location. Are you an FA instructor?

I was. Now I work in the G staff. I have spent a lot of time over on the training side in various positions. I don't mind but I deploy-Sill-deploy-Sill and so on. It keeps my family stabilized. I take it you are FA.

Yea. I was an OSUT Commander then. Go to the first page and read the post I wrote. Also, back then I saw a DS get investigated for "TAPPING" not "Hitting" a Soldier on the kevlar on a BRM range with his paddle because the Soldier did not keep his weapon up and down range. The DS was eventually RTD but the fact that his actions were even questioned was amazing. BTW it was the BN CSM who witnessed this and he was an ex DS!!!!!
