my fav muffler...had them on my old gt and they sounded badass..i dont reccomned them to everyone because they are not everyones cup of tea..and i dont want them to turn into the magnaflow/slp of the industry (over played)

Got that sounds incredible. 6000 or 9000 pro street mufflers?

97cobra... Here is my 96 with a BBK offroad X and SLP Loudmouth 1's. Just got them installed last week and it's ridiculously loud. Once I save up for some headers I plan on quieting it back down lol

Here's my 96 with stock everything except a pair of Corsa DB Series black mufflers welded in. Stock motor, stock cats, stock tailpipes.

Here is a Stock manifold, UPR o/r X, and Flowmasters. I don't know what series, the car came with them already installed.

I slowed down to 45 and let off in 3rd early since there was traffic. Just a short pull. I have no drone at all on the highway with 4.30 gears and neither in the city.

So here goes the question...98 cobra with bbk o/r x and flowmaster mufflers. Why does this car sound like it has straight pipes with no mufflers whatsoever. Is there anything to give it a deeper tone and not sound so much like straight pipe without mufflers?

What do you guys suggest?

I'm not sure. Is there a way of telling? Forgive my ignorance as I am not a flowmaster guy.

it would be hard to tell by looking at the outside. I don;t think they mark them. If they are black and the owner before did not paint them..then you would have a better idea.
