when I take my GT500 out next I will take some images farther away so you can get a better understanding of that perspective- for these I just left the car in the garage and took what I could (using my iPhone 4S):

Thanks for these pics. They are slick. I assume there were no issues with the existing holes from the shelby hood pins, and and these pins covered up the holes for the four screws of the shelby pins?

you're welcome...thanks for taking the time to compliment :)

ty :)

Eric, my mechanic, had to take caution to locate the new holes in relation to the existing Shelby hood pin holes. Since he focused on this issue there weren't any problems and the new holes completely integrated the existing holes :) If I had been aware of the AeroCatch latches I would have NEVER used the hood pin approach.

Are there a couple of notches in the hood for the strut brace? You can't see them in the pic with everyone standing next to the car.
I wanted to go with those same hood pins on the Super Snake hood I ordered but its seeming like that wont work. I guess with the Super Snake hoods they have too much of a curve that you're pretty much stuck using the stock flimsy hood pins or another billet set that Shelby sells but they don't exactly fit right and might start cracking the hood or bending the pins. Doesn't seem like it would be possible to get the Aerocatch pins to sit flush on the hood.

ummmmm...yes, I think it is :)
.
Have you looked at the SOS pods? IMHO - they look much better, OEM quality and make it easier to see the gauges themselves as well as give you a better access in to and out of the car.
