Michael, I noticed the change of hood pins/latches. I've always liked the style you are using in your most recent photos. May I ask who makes them and where did you get them?

The Shelby hood pins that I used had numerous alignment problems as well as the "graying" lanyard issue, and then the "loose" rings issue (when you remove them- if you no longer use the lanyard- they are loose).

While I was getting my Spec P-trim clutch installed, Eric, my mechanic, introduced me to the Aerocatch hood latch series. Eric's shop, FR Motorsports, has a couple of race cars that use them and I really liked the clean appearance. In execution, the Aerocatch handles the three issues I was having before. I selected the key lock version for added protection for my engine bay (I also have an engine bay alarm as part of my Viper SmartStart system).

when I take my GT500 out next I will take some images farther away so you can get a better understanding of that perspective- for these I just left the car in the garage and took what I could (using my iPhone 4S):

What's the story on the sensors in the front bumper? Are they functional?

yes- they are infrared sensors that I use to stop me from destroying my front splitter...there is a small display mounted center of the dash right under the windshield...

I also have a license plate frame in the rear with a backup camera and infrared sensors that work just as those in the front...

Are you getting a rad cover?

I like the look of some of the products that I've seen but I haven't actually made the decision to order one...not sure why not- maybe don't want to deal with Bangastang or don't want to have to wait months to get one only to cut it up to fit my application...

I would get the three pieces to go across the full front and it would be in black :)
