So another month and another 2000 miles since I last drained the can. Same results...about 3 teaspoons of oil. Works great!

Is there much of a functional benefit from the AN over the standard brass fittings? Or is this primarily about aesthetics?

Wow! Fourteen pages over an oil catch can??? Who knew something so simple could be so interesting to talk about? Question for you guys doing this; are you removing your blower and I/C to clean them of the oil that has already been deposited on them? If not, what's truly the point?

Agreed. If you could have seen the gunk on my intercooler after 15k never too late.
Steve, are the braided lines designed for fuel? If so, it seems these should not degrade like the rubber ones? So this might be a benefit too???
The rubber standard ones should not degrade either, they are Eaton Easy Couple hose and rated for oil & fuel. This is what their sales rep recommended to me for our application. But .... Of course I do love selling the more expensive stuff!!! :lol:

Are the braided lines more flexible than say Russell Twist Lok hose? Seems like some of the braided pics on this thread show tighter bends, with no kinks, than I have achieved with my hose.
Wonder how much oil I have in my intercooler after 40k and no catch can.

Changed the oil yesterday and drained the catch can. Catch can went about 3000 miles before draining...it had about 7 teaspoons!:uh oh:Glad I traded the JLT away for the Bob's!
BUT, I do have one issue. The short hose from the passenger valve cover to the can has already been replaced once because the hose started to seperate from the inside out. When I drained it this time I noticed that the hose is starting to look it is falling apart again. It is starting to feel slick and is getting oily looking on the outside. It is also starting to get very soft feeling.

You must have gotten some in a bad batch or something, as it's rated for this purpose. I know I have it somewhere, but PM me your mailing address and I'm gonna send you some extra hose just incase it does wear out again
