Ok, that makes sense. But open road, I am trying to say the GT500 would have continued to pull away. He muffed the launch and pulled from behind. And let me state.. I have nothing against the ZL1. GM does have more work they need to do to them. I just like racing period.

I got beat.. I brought a brand new (600miles on factory oil new) car out..
Good to know about the new Kaw 14. Might have to give it another look.....
My GT500 had an MSRP of $56,590, did 601 on the dyno bone stock, and has been 192 mph on GPS with plenty left. The way the car sits (with full warranty) it would pull my 997 Turbo from 60-up. At $59K, it would be putting 700 to the ground and things would get even more interesting. (maybe after the warranty runs out). These cars are the real deal and anything short of a newer exotic is going to have its hands full.
Say what you will about proving your point in the ZL1- once you add 80 hp to the car (no matter how little this costs) you still have 300 more lbs to deal with. That's a lot of concrete in the trunk to get moving from any speed. My point is simply that dollar for dollar, and mod for mod, the ZL1 will always be playing catch up to the GT500, no matter how good of a car it is.
Not to mention the ZL1 jumped the gun and was out 2 cars before the GT500 reacted and then the GT500 proceeded sling shot past the ZL1.
I am definitely playing catch up.. no argue their... im ready for the challenge.
I still cannot get any ZL1s to run my car. I have a friend that has one but he refuses to let me make him YouTube famous.

it makes over 600.. through the auto...and you dont exactly live next door.. ill be in KC for there big cruise they do in the spring..thats about as close as ill get.
