We'll once I get it back together and a retune ima take it to the track and really beat on it! So we will see how it goes in the next month or so.
Unleash it, man.
If on the first pass, you're not where you want to be, flat shift it.

Why do you have a trap speed requirement? What's more important, getting to the traps as quick as possible or with a high MPH? You don't have broad enough powerband to allow 4.10s or 4.30s to be close to optimum. And Gilby, I'm sure 4.30's/4.56 are an unbelievable amount of fun. It just didn't fit my comfort/trap speed requirements.

yes and yes he switched back to a built proof t45He had a short runner intake too. Didn't he also have a TKO and 4.56s?
billet specialty street litesWhat kind of wheels are these? I've never looked into a drag set up but I love the look on your car!
I have chosen to go with the 4.56's. Not fearing the gear. I will attemt to follow your short runner instructions. I will also make the spring change for more weight transfer. And the Strange shocks are in order.I haven't seen a 96-98 Cobra be quick without 4.56 gears and some weightloss. The reason for this is due to the terrible midrange power of the B heads. What's needed is a short runner, 4.56s and shift at 7000. 4.10s and 4.30s will result in slower ETs, especially when combined with a T56 that as the Cobra 1st gear.
Fearing the gear will result in high ETs.

Are you basing your gear seletion on one 13 hour drive?
There are much better springs for drag racing than the Bs. The stock rears cut one coil and 4cyl fox springs work great and allow for a helluva lot more weight transfer. I know of cars cutting 1.40s with with this setup. Coil overs are by far the best front spring option but some don't like them for street driving.
Lightwheight wheels and sticky tires can knock off 3-4 tenths, the lighter the better.
Losing the stock struts also does wonders and strange 10 ways are inexpensiive and work great.
HIPSI is correct. What kind of wheels are these? I've never looked into a drag set up but I love the look on your car!

I have a turbo, hope I'm still your hero epper:epper::banana:HIPSI, NVRLATE, you guys are my hero''s. Kicking ass with no power adders, that's what I like. Got 3.73's in the car now and looking for 4.56 or 4.30's at least and a good tune w/good exhaust and some minor tweaking here and there. Being in the 12's would be awesome. Btw, I live 4 miles from the Woodburn Dragstrip possibly the only dragstrip on the west coast with concrete the whole 1/4 mile. I will be frequenting the Friday night street drags this year for sure.
