Anyone from the Panhandle/NW Florida area heading over to Pony Wars next month? I haven't seen any threads on this yet but figure there's bound to be some interest. I'm planning on heading that way on Friday afternoon so if anyone wants to meet up and join for the cruise across I-10 let me know. I'm looking into hotel pricing now so if we have a few going maybe we can get a group rate. Let me know if you're interested! Should be a blast of a cruise, car show and drag racing.

The “Host” Hotel is the Holiday Inn that we have used for the last few years. The rate is $79.95 for Friday and/or Saturday night. They are also going to be expecting the little party that normally happens on Friday night, and will be staffed “Alcohol” accordingly.

Now if you do not want to stay at the Holiday Inn, I have set up some other room specials at some nearby hotels. The Super 8 next door to the Holiday Inn is $54.95, the Fairfield Inn down the street is $79.95 and up by the mall area there is the La Quinta Inn for $69.95. All these are for basic 2 queen/double rooms. I am sure most of you will stay at the Holiday Inn but, if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle, we have a few options.

My brother and I will be there with our KB cobra's I believe Spyder1337 will be attending with his whipple/nitrous cobra as well.

Yea you just pay at the gate like a regular TNT day; I went to the last one. I think I could recruit a few others as well. Trying to go 9's on my 18's!

There is no "sign up" Just be at Steeda HQ between 7:30-8:00 am. We are going to ride up to SGMP around 9-9:30 am. The track opens at 9:00 am. You pay at the gate.

Look forward to seeing you guys out there!

Hey man, on SGMP's site it says a 3 class race. Care to ellaborate? Like is there a manual transmission only class? that would be awsome since theres always that auto turbo car no one can catch..

Just curious if there is a DOT tire only classes etc..

I was wondering that myself, Its all supposed to be street cars so I figure a slick, drag radial and street tire selection will probably play a part but hopefully somebody will post more info, look foward to the event

I will be there with my 03 Redfire vert. Last year they ended up doing a bracket race.
Each year it has been something different. Either way it is a good time for sure!!

We are going to break down into three classes based on your ET's through the day. Last year we tried to do bracket racing and most people did not like. So this year we are going back to just heads up stuff, which seems to have had better results over the years.

Any suggestions we will consider, but keep in mind we have no way of "policing" the rules. So true class racing would be tough to keep everyone n line.

My only recommendation would be..

RWYB-manual transmission
RWYB-DOT tire; any transmission

And a quick 8 or 16 race...for any tire car, and of course everyone can test and tune.

Before anyone asks lol RWYB=run what you bring.
