I went to a carshow/dyno day today, and wanted to get another baseline rwhp in before my next round of mods.

My mods are as follows: 2.6 upper, dynotune. I have other items on the car, but they do not add to power.

Car made today 556.01rwhp, and 568.32ft/lb tq. SAE correction.

My previous dyno pulls were 558rwhp/574ft/lb SAE, and the same pull with STD correction was 571/587.

A stock Z won't do it. I am running 116rwhp more than the average Stock Z06.

In a couple of weeks, you can add 40more rwhp approx. to that figure when I have the 10% lower pulley installed and retune.

Looking at right at 600rwhp SAE with only upper/lower/tune..... everything else factory stock, manifolds, and exhaust. I won't concern myself with Stock Z's after that... and 2 months down the road are plans for either VMP TVS, or 2.9l Whipple. Should be a fun summer.

Your car is by far the exception. Most upper only GT500's make 530ish to the ground, unless your tuners dyno reads high. What ET/Trap does you car turn?

are you serious? Have you run your car at the track? With similar mods to yours except 3.73's and less weight(coupe vs vert) went 121-124 depending on weather. At best you might run 121. Stock Z06's generally trap 126. To truly run with one you'll need ported blower, LT's, and gears. And that's stock. Cam only Z06's trap 130-133 in my expierence.

Your avg c6z is not a 126 car most trap 122-125 with average drivers and conditions.

No 1/4 mile trips yet.. but been to local 1/8th mile a few times. Have 305/35-20 Nitto 555r's on the car, but they don't hook worth a crap for launches, so no good et's. Best 1/8th mph so far is 98mph. Getting a big/little setup with MT ET Street Pros(275/60-15) x274 tires.... should hook pretty good then. :)

That is what I have been seeing too.. low 120's. By my estimates, I should be around 125mph range in the 1/4 doing 98mph in the 1/8th. My old 90 Eclipse GSX did 96mph in the 1/8th and 123mph in the 1/4.

Hell yea there is a couple pics of mine in the vid It wil look awesome. Yes I know it needs a buff & wax job

I've got a H/C/I C6Z so my story about runs is not relevant in this case.
Yeah, me too! My post would be worthless.... Good thing I'm a fan of both cars, despite remaining a Mustang guy at heart. Problem is, there's only enough room in the garage for one toy and the wife's truck. Much as I LOVE the Shelby's, especially the '13, when we have our HUGE garage built, I'd likely go with a '13 BOSS instead! There's just something incredibly special about those cars!

I've grown out of the need to beat the next guy next to me. I went with the cam, exhaust and intake on my 6,300 mile C6Z primarily because I LOVE the LS7 with a lope.....then, as I began to read more and more on C6Z's, I realized their inherent valve guide issues that have caused NUMEROUS engine failures for folks even at stock power levels, and because of that, figured I'd have the heads worked and reinforced as well. So here I sit with a 600 rwhp C6Z (see signature) that I didn't initially intend on having, but am enjoying none-the-less.

Enjoy your cars guys. Encourage camaraderie between the brands.....won't be long before we can't afford to keep them fueled!

Ran side by side a Z06 with a stock 3.31 gear before , with the new gear , should pull ahead by half car instantly. Should put some fear in mine cousin Z06 now, hahaahahah. Let's find out this Sunday with warm 65 degree weather

I just like the other 2 z06 owners are a h/c/i setup also. There is nothing that sounds cooler than a big block chevy, new or old that has the lope. It draws so much attention. People come and look, old guys wonder how the heck did i do that with the new ignition system. I just smile.

I am a mustang man at heart too. I had a 01, built out to a terminator setup that made 570 at the wheels. There is no way that car could run with my 570whp z06..

Just like the others have mentioned, i trapped 134mph with a 1.8 60ft.

OP if we lived closer, i would be your huckleberry! :)

Here is mine just for fun!

hey blackshelby... I mean nothing bad.. don't take it the wrong way. The Z's pull pretty damn hard in 3rd gear. Hope the race comes out in your favor, but being side by side in 2nd gear, it may have been a little tougher in 3rd. But hey, run em'...win lose, it doesn't matter to me. I personally get a joy out of the adrenaline rush of the race.

I can get my ass handed to me, pull over, shake hands and grab some grub. It's all good either way. The 4.10's will run you out of gear quicker, but you should be a little better in the 40-120 range.. but if you go higher, you will see the limits of the gearing.
