You will like your Alcoas. I have 275/35/20 front and 295/35/20 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sports. No rubbing.

We bought the Alcoa Shelby 50th anniversary wheels for our 2013 GT500. I'm looking to find out what are the widest tires we can run without rubbing/interfering. We don't want to do ANY modifications.

Looking at Nitto Invos:
275/35/20 fronts on 9s
305/35/20 rears on 10s

Thanks.

BTW... here's a pic of the car.

That is not a picture of a 2013. That is a 2012 or earlier. Grille and wheels are from 2012. I hope you don't think you bought a 2013.

And I hope you aren't serious.

Go read a few posts up...also, those are the base wheels on a 2013 GT500.

Thanks again for all of the replies.

The tire dealers are having a hard time finding the Invos in the sizes I'm looking for. I'll see about the Michelins. How are they in the cold weather & rain?

And to show my thanks, a couple more pictures of the car for you to enjoy.

Anybody got a good referral for a shop selling Nitto Invos? Our Goodyear dealer is having a bitch of a time finding a set of 275s & 295s.

Your front end does have the pre 2012 grills. Did you buy the car new or modify the front end at all?

We ordered the car new. It is a 2013 model. I installed a set of 2012 grills for extra protection against road debris since we drive the car so much. I still have the original 2013 grills that came with the car.

I've gotta get these tires mounted before next weekend. Anybody got a lead on a good shop to order the Invos?

Haven't seen anyone make that swap on a 2013. Looks good either way

I have been thinking about doing this on my 13, but hesitated because I also have the Track Pack and the 2012 lower grill doesn't accommodate the rear axle and engine oil cooler ports. From the comparison picture you posted, thank you, it looks like it would be an easy mod to cut out a few of the diamond shaped hole for air access to the coolers.

As long as you've got a dremel and a couple hours to spend...

yes eibach prokit springs...panhard bar a 100% must and you have to spend your time on a perfectly flat surface and center the rear end...if you get it perfect you wont have any rubbing issues...i dont ever have people in the back of my car so a possibility definately exists if you have 4 seats occupied...ive hit some steep quick dips on the freeway and never had 1 rub mark so its tight but it works and looks killer...

im not sure why but your tires stick out alot more then my 305 m/t's did....do you have a panhard bar? even with one the amount your drivers side sticks out with a 295 is alot...im wondering why.

1. MPSS are wider than M/T's.
2. MPSS have a very thick sidewall and section width.

This is why I suggest running 285 MPSS if you want to lower your car, if not then you need to have your Alcoa's widened to bring the bulge inward.

Usually the objects that shoot through a radiator like a AK-47 round through a cinder block wall, are off the back of somebody else going down the highway or worse from a Semi kicking up the pellet sized rocks that are scattered everywhere on highway roads.

I have had this happen to me with way smaller radiator openings.

It looks good, but even with the 12 grille you will still be vulnerable to damage.
