We bought the Alcoa Shelby 50th anniversary wheels for our 2013 GT500. I'm looking to find out what are the widest tires we can run without rubbing/interfering. We don't want to do ANY modifications.
Looking at Nitto Invos:
275/35/20 fronts on 9s
305/35/20 rears on 10s
Thanks.
BTW... here's a pic of the car.
That is not a picture of a 2013. That is a 2012 or earlier. Grille and wheels are from 2012. I hope you don't think you bought a 2013.
You will like your Alcoas. I have 275/35/20 front and 295/35/20 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sports. No rubbing.
Thanks again for all of the replies.
The tire dealers are having a hard time finding the Invos in the sizes I'm looking for. I'll see about the Michelins. How are they in the cold weather & rain?
And to show my thanks, a couple more pictures of the car for you to enjoy.
We ordered the car new. It is a 2013 model. I installed a set of 2012 grills for extra protection against road debris since we drive the car so much. I still have the original 2013 grills that came with the car.Your front end does have the pre 2012 grills. Did you buy the car new or modify the front end at all?

As long as you've got a dremel and a couple hours to spend...I have been thinking about doing this on my 13, but hesitated because I also have the Track Pack and the 2012 lower grill doesn't accommodate the rear axle and engine oil cooler ports. From the comparison picture you posted, thank you, it looks like it would be an easy mod to cut out a few of the diamond shaped hole for air access to the coolers.
when i had supersnakes on mine i had 305/35/20 M/T Rears and 245/40/20 fronts....ive always been one to put a narrower taller tire on the front...i love the way that combo looks....
yes eibach prokit springs...panhard bar a 100% must and you have to spend your time on a perfectly flat surface and center the rear end...if you get it perfect you wont have any rubbing issues...i dont ever have people in the back of my car so a possibility definately exists if you have 4 seats occupied...ive hit some steep quick dips on the freeway and never had 1 rub mark so its tight but it works and looks killer...Was your car lowered with the SS wheels

im not sure why but your tires stick out alot more then my 305 m/t's did....do you have a panhard bar? even with one the amount your drivers side sticks out with a 295 is alot...im wondering why.Not lowered 275 20x10 on front and 295 20x10 on the rear
