Interesting video. I wonder why some people get nasty wheelhop like shown in the video but others do not, even on the worst possible drag race suspension setup--sportlines and stock everything else.

I've been to the dragstrip multiple times and have yet to see a hint of wheel hop. In for the 2nd video for comparison's sake.

Good luck OP

Variables.

Lowering springs stabilize the axle, so the axle is less likely to hop erratically, compared to a stock spring'd rear axle.

Two factors, axle stability and traction. Increase one, the other, or both and wheel-hop goes away.

I had HORRIBLE wheel hop on the stock brembo package, after adding frpp shocks and steeda lowering springs the wheel hop is 100% gone. But I will be getting an upper control in the near future...

Good info Kelly. I raced with 3 different spring setups; stock, vogtlands, and now sportlines and never had issue. Maybe I need more power so traction is an issue! lol

Still waiting on the upper arm to show up, it shipped a little later than the lowers and the upper mount. So...no track today. I'll get that other vid done for you guys ASAP.

BBP cars like mine WH worse because they get traction....wheellhop is "almost hooking". Add the low profile PZeros and heavyweight wheels as contributing factors.

Upper first, then lowers if you need to. Roush is totally silent and a big improvement. I'm knocking on the door of 11s with it, on a bias CO7 Hoosier 28X10" slick, full weight car.

Very cool vids op. My BBP car has bad wheel hop as well. I have noticed its better when the air temps are warm(presumably since the tires are softer, idk)

Two quick questions..
Wasnt there a fitment issue with a watts link and some other suspension piece? May be wrong on that but just thought i read something.
2. Since i know nothing about suspension set ups in terms of what does what, would you do a watts link and a UCA or do both do the same job?

1) No fitment issues I know of with other suspesion parts!
2) A watts link and uca do 2 dfferent things!
3) uca keeps the up and down movement under control thus aiding in traction and wheel hop reduction.
4) A watts link keeps the entire axle centered through adverse situtions thus improving handling
A Watts link takes the place of a panhard bar and the panhard bar's brace. A Watts link allows side to side adjustements as well as ride height adjustments.
I have a watts link and uca with bracket with other goodies, and my car is totally transformed with a better ride, no wheel hop, straight line tracking under load, and corner handling!

Small update. I just installed the lowers since I am still waiting for the upper to show up in the mail. Took it for a quick test drive. Didn't notice any extra noise, but it will still wheel hop like a big dog. Maybe just slightly less, but still does it. That upper has got to go, especially on these BBP cars. Can't wait for that joker to show up!

I keep hearing this too. I guess between the give in the converter and 3.15s in the rear, the auto cars don't shock the drivetrain so bad?

UCA = definitely on the "to buy" list.

Did you use relocation brackets?

Don't these UCA replacements still use the rubber bushing in the axle housing? If so, shouldn't it be replaced as well?
