Maybe roadblock isn't the right word.. Delay, maybe... You have to break in your engine but you also have to baby your clutch for a while (500-1000miles) so on one hand you have to go WOT to seat the rings and on the other you have to be careful not to slip your clutch... So I took it easy with small pulls at a roll until about 200miles and then started getting progressively harder on the engine. I have 350mi. now and she wants to go!!! But I'll wait until around 1000mi to do the tune and unleash the beast!!

Oh, ok. I thought that's what you meant but wasn't sure. I'll be in the same as you as I am installing an RXT in mine during the reassembly process. I was told 500 miles to break-in the RXT, but was told the motor doesn't really need a "break-in" period. I know there are different schools of thought of how to break-in a motor the go easy on it break-in versus the drive it like you stole it break-in. Going to be really hard not to get on it when I am finally behind the wheel of my car again.

Exactly! I am of the school of thought that you need to break it in on the Dyno! But the new clutch adds a little time of hesitation. Just passing on
My lessons. Also, don't preload the clutch cable on the twin discs. Leave a little play when putting the cable on. Otherwise you may cause slippage. Learned that yesterday! Lol!

I'm not doing the install and have a lot of confidence in the shop doing the work, so I am sure he will set it up right. :)

Latest update, motor is in the car and the clutch is installed. The new throwout bearing has been installed in the trans so that should be going in next week then on to the headers and then some chassis stiffening pieces get welded in. Sorry car was on the lift so I couldn't snap any pictures of the motor in the car

Trans and long tubes were in when I stopped by the shop Thursday so we are making progress. Shouldn't be too much longer before she is fired up and strapped to the dyno.
