2012 5.0 vs c5z

Think I may get a few runs off with a friend of a friend that just bought the Z Saturday, it has a intake, tune and full exhaust. I plan on not winning this BUT rumor is he can't drive it so that may be my only hope.

Anyone have any predictions?

This was a full bolt on, cammed C5Z that I ran. I held it to him till 3rd and he got out about a car on me.

I haven't ran the bolt on C5Z, they video was a full bolt on/cam C5Z.

The video of the cammed Z needed a driver mod in the WORST way, the fastest it's gone is 12.4 @123

I haven't ran the bolt on C5Z, they video was a full bolt on/cam C5Z.

My bad I thought that was a follow up vid. Should be an interesting race considering your 1/4 results. Too close to call with the c5z pulling slightly as speed increases. That's my guess.

I had a c5 z06, they are surprising cars when modified.

I'm lost why you're being a dick, this 5.0 has been beat just as much. I'm not some 5.0 fan boy that thinks other wise. I guess when you live in the shadows of the Cobra I would be a tad sad also. :shrug:

The video in my OP that vette makes about 100 more and you can see I was hanging out with him till driving left the equation and just holding a pedal took over, even then hes only got 3mph on me and on the street it's nothing crazy.

It's just old, no matter what ANY 5.0 owner posts a new edge owner comes in and says how it can't be done but if "I beat a stock cobra from a dig in my Bugatti" new edge owners would say how the bugatti left early or cobra needs a driver mod.

A FBO Cammed C5Z makes about 420-430rwhp. If it makes 100rwhp more than you then that'd put you at 320-330rwhp. :shrug::shrug:

With your mods, yall ashould be within 10hp of one another with the weight, gearing and aero d advantage going to the Z.

He made 75+ he claimed, I agree that car should(and did) out perform me on the big end. What's the true number? I don't know, it sure didn't look like a low 500 wheel car, I have gotten beat by them lol

Relax... That was between us... No reason to get all pissed off about him complimenting your car. I will scold him in LNC and we will refrain from boasting about the 5.0s greatness.
