In the beginning of the video it says the TA made 360 rwhp. It's probably got boltons. But that still doesn't make sense cause with the 5.0s mods it should be in the 10s. LOL J/K

yeah they dont dyno anywhere near that bone stock or near stock. lol

a friend of my has a 2001 ss 6 speed manual with slp lid and a catless Y pipe mid pipe. and slp catback, a ram air cold air inlet to the lid. gears. and his car with a tune dynoed put down around 325rwhp.

and another friend of my with a bone stock auto 98 transam put down 270rwhp. with ls6 intake manifold, slp lid and filter, headers mid pipe catback, gears. it put down 318rwhp.

and another example a friend of my with another 6 speed ls1 with full bolt on full exaust, gears, lid and tune etc. dynoed 338rwp and 350rwtq.

s0 360rwhp would be full bolt ons tune and or small cam.

a guy around my way I belive with full bolt ons small cam put down around 370rwhp.

Still about 60whp more than the WS6 lol. No where on paper should the WS6 win, yet it does. Also notice that the 5.0 gets a significant head start too.

This is really puzzling me

The problem is you do your racing on paper.

An ls1 fbody doesn't need a cam to make 360 rwhp. Especially a 6 speed. I've seen it many times. Autos with higher stall torque converters will put down 340+ or so rwhp. These are full boltons with dyno tuned. If the tuner sucks though that can yield lower numbers also.

I had a friend with a 02' z28 run 12.20s stock on slicks and skinnies. All he did was take weight out of it and ran it with out the paper filter.

I had an 01 WS6 and as much as I loved that car I doubt it would outrun a new 5.0 stock. With just a lid I ran 111 mph and did outrun my share of 03 Cobras including my own but that video doesn't add up.
My car did run 12.40s on stock tires with just a lid and mac headers but a new 5.0 will run those times stock.
I miss my T/A.:(

yea sounds about right, weight reduction, lighter wheels and perfect traction... it should knock off .8 seconds...

Im sure a 5.0 can dip into the 11s with similar mods

I don't think that WS6 was stock. I raced a lightly modded WS6 in my SRT8 300C, and beat it, but it was very close. I raced my SRT8 against a 5.0, and couldn't catch it. The WS6 race and 5.0 race were at the drag strip, and I had a chance to talk to both drivers. The WS6 had some work done, including a cam, tune, and exhaust. The 5.0 was stock. So logic would tell me that if I can beat a lightly modded WS6 in my SRT8, and a stock 5.0 can beat my SRT8, then a modded 5.0 should easily beat a stock WS6. My SRT8 was very consistent and ran 12.8s. The consistency of my SRT8 was extremely difficult to beat. Then again, the WS6 driver that raced me may not have been driving at the cars full potential either. That's my .02.

lol there is not one bit of proof that this a 2013 gt from that vid other than the title. No way a bone stock ws6 would ever do that. can't believe everything you read on the internet guys...

A stock ws6 is a mid 13 second car. I ran a 13.9 on my very first run when I had a stock ws6. I didn't have a helmet so I was booted. Didn't get off the line too quick so there was definitely room for improvement. Another stock ws6 had an a4 and he consistently ran 13.5s at the same time.

Seems very out of the norm for a stock fbody to beat a 5.0. This would be right on parr with a v6 though.

One thing that people dont think about is who is driving the car.

Unfortunately I only got to make 3 passes in my 3 day old WS6 but I ran 13.3 on my first pass and then a 13.2 and a 13.1. I know with some practice it was a 12 second car. One thing that people dont get is that not every Terminator runs mid 12s stock (mine did) and not every new 5.0 runs mid 12s stock and most of it is due to the driver.Im not saying the WS6 in the vid was stock but just that anything is possible because the driver is what makes the car run the number.
When my WS6 had just a lid I outran just about every stock 03 Cobra that I raced and every time I was called a liar but I would bet money that those guys that called me a liar were the Cobra owners that went to the track and ran mid 13s and there was a ton of them at the time.
