Ok awesome I got mine with a 5.0 inch pulley so I will be around 18 psi then which is exactly where I want to be with my stock engine I have long tubes no cats and corsa cat back with a 123jlt and ford racing monoblade

Would say 18 psi or less on a 5 inch pulley

My car has a 2013 Tvs with a 2.4 pulley and makes 16 psi on the dot 17 psi when it's cold outside like during a cold front

I mean the blower is 2 times the size but the pulley is over twice the size so I hope I won't push over 18
I just double checked. The info I was given was right before we installed ours. That was apparently just an estimate at the time.

As of now, they are retailing with a 4-3/4" pulley that should be at 19-20psi. Sorry for any confusion guys.

What I have learned with the 2013 Tvs is the harder u spin the more power u make until iat2 start to rise my car was slower at 22 psi then 16 psi with more timing so I have confidence in the 4.5 Whipple being a beast at baby boost of 18 I just want 750 wheel 17 degrees timing on pump and meth in there just for safe not tuned for it so I consider my set up very conservative
U might say why do with a 4.5 instead of a 4.0 Whipple I say lower iats are just better
Less blower rpm is better

Your gonna be under spinning that blower big time.

I would take lethals word of 22lbs with the 5" pulley.

Heads up just installed my 4.5 Whipple with a 5 inch pulley and I'm pushing a mind blowing 13 psi this is really close to sea level and it being 67 degrees outside so yes I'm gunna need a smaller pulley jluk thanks

That's good to know. My 4.0L isn't even here yet, and I'm already looking forward to upgrading to the 4.5.

How does it run? Dyno?
I can't imagine how sweet a 4.5 looks in person.

Yes it looks pretty legit

It's white btw

Drives just like stock the driveabilyy it actually better then it used to drive with the Tvs no bucking or nothing and it used to and that's cuz I'm running the same tune

Yes, I would say that's fully legit!
MASSIVE also come to mind :)
4.5L feeding 5.8L sounds about right.

U need engine lowering mounts
Also need engine spacers
Also cuttin of the under hood the black part for heat and then it shuts

Also a FYI this 5 inch pulley is not cutting it imma need to get a 4.5 pulley to push 18 psi

I do a 60 roll 3rd gear and it pushing 10 psi and slowly climbs to 14
Gearing is 3.55

Is the stock hood still being used? if so what did you need to make it fit? Thanks

Best Strret Blower Size.

Correct me if I am wrong, but would not a 3.4L Whipple be the better size on a streetable pump gas car with stock internals?

Reason being is that the compressor would be at it's optimum about 1000-1500 rpm before redline, thus boost would be earlier in the RPM range, better torque but at the expense of higher IAT2 & PEAK hp.

The 4.5 is just coasting at rod busting engine RPM. Must feel a bit like a turbo but without the lag.

For a street car on pump gas with stock internals, yes a 3.4L probably would be the better choice. Or even a 2.9L. But, a lot of us purchase parts/blowers to go beyond pump gas, and allow us to make more power down the road without having to upgrade again.

I thought for sure my 2.9L would be more than enough. Then I hit its limit and I still wanted more. I want a blower that has the potential to take me beyond my current goal. Something to grow into if I choose.

Even my over-spun 2.9L had the same boost curve as an under-spun 2.9L (as far as curve shape vs RPM), so big pulley sizes don't make these blowers lazy. However, this 4.5L is new, so I guess we'll see what the boost/hp curves look like at different levels as people run them.
