Here is a better example for you. Im sure most of us were given nicknames when we were kids by our relatives. Your parents named you josh but your family calls you "shooter" because youre great with a rifle. When you go for a job interview youre not putting shooter on the spot where it says name. Same goes for this mustang. Ford named it Cobra but it earned the nickname terminator.
Your family can call you shooter all day long but at the end of the day your actual name is still josh. We can say terminator as much as we want but we know its name is cobra.
I posted facts. You are choosing to ignore them. If the car was to be called a terminator the trim level/name would be terminator not cobra. Get it????
I have conceded that the project was code named "terminator" The Production vehicle is the Cobra.

I can agree with that to a degree. I feel however a car gets a nickname by the public, not by the people who were behind making the car that can be seen in documentation, PR events and a book. It is more official.

Try to look up a terminator on KBB or NADA.... You will not find it.......
Go to a list of Ford production vehicles and try to find a terminator....
You won't find it because they never made a car called the terminator.......

What they called it in the project/design phase is not what the production car is called. There is nothing you can do or say to make it otherwise.

Yes it is a Ford Mustang Cobra, but it is also called a Terminator. That name wasn't given to it by the public but rather Ford. That's it. Nothing more nothing less.

The whole point was the OP implying that the intimidator was a rip off of the terminator. I brought the point up that.... the car in the OP really is named the intimidator and that the OP's cobra is not named a terminator.

If you guys really want to get into semantics, it's actually called MUSTANG. "Cobra" is essentially a trim level when you really break it down; just like the M3 is a trimmed out 3-series.

The Name of the car is actually Mustang and it is a Mustang Cobra that is also known as Terminator. But screw it, John Coletti, the people at Ford, documents on the car and the book Iron Fist, Lead Foot are all wrong because some random person on the internet trying to prove an asinine point, who has nothing to do with the 03/04 Cobras, said so.
When people ask what I have I tell them I have a Cobra. I could call it Nancy if you would like me to since you seem to be the authority on the matter. As a matter of fact, could you tell us all what the next top of the line Mustang is going to be called and what kind of performance we should expect from it?
