I know how it runs...fangs will have your number and a bit more than you can handle bud. And he's running an even SMALLER ci motor, so much for "no replacement for displacement" haha

no he won't becaus he has the almighty gt500......what a joke

The 5.4 has a lot more R&D time in the aftermarket for go fast parts. I never said the 5.0 was the best engine to land in a Ford engine bay, there are advantages that the 5.4 has over the 5.0L..... Like in my truck. But the power to weight advantage goes to 5.0l and in racing, thats what counts. Was mearly saying that the 5.0L does have it's advantages over the 5.4l..... And some cry baby's in here aka Red3V.... Can't handle that his prize shelby in not the king of the road. But he/she is from Miss. In another 10yrs the 5.0 will be outdated maybe faster than that. Yea stock for stock the 5.4 will make more power but it needs about 200rwhp more to be as fast as a 5.0l GT.... That from a dig or from a roll.

I know of a 11GT with 704rwhp on pump/meth before he went with a built 4R70W.

Fangs seriously??? A gt ways basically the same as my car so whoever makes more whp wins PERIOD. For a stock coyote block to run with my car it would be on the brink of explosion. I know of numerous shelbys running above 900whp as well, still can let go at any time.

My original motor was one of the first month builds, which were notorious for having an issue with the rods failing prematurely. Considering most coyotes running nitrous are in the 550-600whp range and have no issues with busting blocks or bending rods, I'd say mine was definitely a factory flaw. It happens. You see bent rods and busted cylinder bores from boosted guys, and usually is tune related as opposed to mechanical failure as plenty of turbo and blower guys are seeing 900-1200whp+ out of a stock block, just the stock powdered rods are limited to 600-700whp.

A stick has the advantage over a STOCK auto as you can launch in the powerband, stock converter launches at idle or 1500rpm so doesn't benefit from launching at optimum. A converter would offset that of course...but my point was with a stock converter sacrificing time at the launch, a basic bolt on coyote with nitrous is running similar times to some of the more modded Shelby's.

As far as my hp numbers, low reading dyno of 485/500 on a small shot was more like 520/550 on a dynojet. Still 100whp+ less than most of the conservatively modded Shelby's. You guys just said that a tvs coyote is close to the same weight as a tvs Shelby, so my comparison of 3600 to 4000 was pretty accurate. My 60' are usually 1.6x and 1/8 is around 6.5-6.6@104, if that helps you compare mods. Yours tends to be a dyno queen more than others, so how about some times from your build? Or is roll racing on the streets the only place you run now?

Laundry list of excuses the 5.0 is not as tough as the older 5.4 plain and simple. Depends on what you consider conservative and again you are comparing 6spd numbers to auto numbers. A intake, boss, full exhaust yote on a 150 will make close to 600 with a good tune in a 6spd car. Lol so no 10.4 @ 135 timeslips? No wai  Put a mt82 in the car since the 6r80 is a disadvantage and all.

NTXRockr and I have tested his bolt on 5.0 both with 370 rwhp and 2 diffrent GT500's both around 550 rwhp one a 2011 and the other a 2007. The dig race was with the 11 GT500 and it has suspension and on DR tires as the 5.0 was too. The roll race was with the 07 GT500 with the Shelby being powershifted like a pro, no missed gears and the GT500 and 5.0 are dead even. and this was with a non-heat soaked GT500 roll runs were from 40-120-125 in nice spring weather. No belt slip ether.

An NA GT weighs about 3550lbs. An 11/12 GT500 weighs about 3800lbs. So, kind of a big difference. Add a whole supercharger system to a GT, and the gap becomes closer, but still not the same.

Ok so how does it runs since you know and all? It does not see the track much but I will tell you this much it has been faster (mph) in the 1/4 then you on the kit so far. I never once said that a 5.0/4.6 can't beat my car due to CI and it has nothing to do with this thread so quit reaching. Neither of you have a stock motor 6spd tvs 5.0 for me to run. However I am down to do a roll with you fangs what do you say?

My car made 689 last night and I am down for a 40. Also NTX can get it as well we cant test yalls 200whp theory.

GT500 w/689rwhp vs bolt-on 5.0 on 150 shot would be a good match but the GT500 should be able to pull up top 1/2-1car..... we tested that too but with a 2.8 KB 07 GT500 with 670rwhp. But yea, we can run 40 roll fine.... we can to a 50-60-70-80-100+ roll if you wanna try that too. I'm geard to pull to 175mph

That is Not a common outcome, I've raced more 5.0s than anything else on the road because they're everywhere here. My good friend has a 11 5.0 with every bolt on imaginable minus a blower. Dig or roll when I was stock back in 2011 he would get worked everytime. I've ran so many of the same combos with just a pulley on my car and even giving a care length hit from a 40 roll the gt would see the shelby letters before I got out of 2nd. I like the 5.0s but they're really not that fast at all without a blower, even then it takes some decent psi to make it interesting against a blower swapped shelby.

Ok let's test it. Last pcola car I ran was that FRC 427 vette.

I'm sure you know this but, just so you know you can have 2 diffrent cars run the same ET but at diffrent mph...... if your car could 60ft better your mph will drop and then your ET would too. Higher mph just means your car back halfs the track.

what gear does your good friend have? the 6R80 3.15's are the wrong gear for the car. bolt-on auto 5.0 with 4.10's will break some hearts.

Considering I was running camera car behind you when you ran our buddy's frc vette a month ago, I'd say I have a good idea on how it runs on the street. Sad I was on motor that night with a break in tune and you barely pulled 2-3 lengths on a basic bolt on yote though...I've got enough to take you on the street, and you wouldn't dare dig me at a track; fangs would embarrass you though
