Got my V2 tunes sent quickly, two days I think. Tunes are good, I asked for better throttle response, that was my only gripe with old tunes. Still early to say but it does seem better. My only complaint is I asked for 89 performance and 93 race (ghost cam) and I was sent 87 P and 93 w/o the cam. Really wanted to try a new 93 cam tune, the old one would struggle at times, surge, buck and die.

Quick question on how the Bama/AM thing works. I purchase the SCT tuner from AM, input my information for mods/year/trans/ecu code/etc, and the tuner comes with the tune on it already, or do I have to upload the tune to the SCT when I receive the SCT?

If you have the tuner like I did you purchase the tunes for life and send over your information. If you buy the tuner from them it will come with pre-loaded tunes that you specify what your mods are.

I just installed my Bama Custom tunes and JLT CAI today.Ordered from AM. Install no big deal. But when I first fired it up it ran rough, was poPPing thru the CAI and died. And I'm thinking "Oh crap"!!Started again and this time was rough but kept running. Within a couple of minutes the idle improved and soon was very smooth.Wish someone told me to possibly expect that. Put in and out of gear and turned A/C on to create a load. Guy from BAMA suggested that so that the computer relearns everything. Took for a ride and the first thing I noticed were the very firm and positive shifts(I'm an automatic). Not harsh or jerky. Very responsive. All gauges and data #s were all normal. Have'nt tried the race tune yet. Saving that for the track in afew weeks. Best #'s stock are a 12.92 @ 109mph. Anxious to try it.

I installed my Airraid intake today along with the Bama V2 93 performance tune and then the 93 race tune. The car drives great and idles fine. I put in the performance tune first and to me it feels no stronger then when it was stock. I later put in the race tune and it feels a little stronger in the upper rpm range. I personally did not feel the wow factor. When I get time I will put it on my friends dyno to see what kind of power it makes. I could be jaded as I use to drive a 10 second street car! Other wise it still drives like it's stock.

Hey Alex, any update on the ghost cam tune for you guys??

Latest I heard was as early as mid Spring to early Summer 2015 on Cam Tune. I've been looking into purchasing an SCT X4 and Free tunes for life for my '14 A6 GT Premium but funds and warranty 'nerves' have yet to allow me to pull the trigger. More I read and research, the harder it is to fight the urge. Never tuned or owned such a technological performance car. I'm a speed and torque junkie but also know to err on side of caution if you're a "n00b" in such an expensive game of adrenaline and HP. Wish I could drop the funds and get started but as we all know life doesn't work according to what we want lol.

I have a few questions...

I bought my Coyote two months ago with a Bama SCT handheld with three Bama tunes installed. I bought it from a dealership in Illinois. I have since changed to a different email tune file source and added additional mods.

Could I get free tune files, even though I'm not the one that bought the tunes in the first place?

Does Bama tune for E85 and 47# injectors yet? What about higher stall torque converters (I have a Circle D 5C). I'm happy with my current tuning source, but if I could get some free Bama V2 files to try out, I wouldn't mind doing so.

I did buy an SCT X3 and tunes from Bama for my previous car, a 2011 GT, back in 2013.

Yeah, far as I am aware there's no Cam Tune for V2 tunes yet but could be wrong. It is getting close to their early Spring time frame. Far as getting tunes I don't know if there's a licensing issue with a handheld tuner being purchased with a vehicle. If your Tuner is married/linked to vehicle you may be able to talk to AM ALEX LAZARUS when he returns to forums. He seems to be very willing to help us Tune lovers out. I had chance to purchase a used SCT x4 but it only had 5 slots on device. It was unmarried but it's $175.00 for the free tunes program and I figured it's smarter to get a warrantied device with the 10 slots rather than buy used device and take chance on uploading someone else's tunes for mods I didn't have and cause damage to my ride. Used tuner was $225 from a local neighbor. So after buying used tuner and then paying for free tunes for life I could have gotten brand new tuner. Idk... wife not feeling the tuner purchase so far lol. She doesn't like riding in Mustang cuz it's " too loud" and " going fast isn't my thing ". It's not even that loud unless I use select shift and hang on to gears longer.

I'm debating taking car in for full work up to see if there's any underlying issues before I buy tuner and tunes. Just to play it safe. Service mgr at local dealership isn't against tuning. He has a '13 GT/CS tuned. But.. I also know from being in mgmt that although you may not have issue your bosses may and regardless of opinion or choices you make in your own personal life, business is what it is. Like it or not. In my case most often not lol. I just think the Stock release although powerful was more conservative for emissions and safety reasons than I personally like. Ultimately up to my "boss" aka wife. I WILL be buying tuner and tunes from AM/BAMA even though I know it's not the "best" choice by some. I've dealt with a few customer service people via Email and their service and helpfulness is what made decision for me. Not often you get service prior to being a customer. Matthew Allen was my correspondence person and was absolutely courteous and professional during our talks/emails. Just waiting for funds and green light from the wife. Actually was hoping for a sale but so far sales have been on mods I'm not getting into as of yet. It's my DD so not trying to over do it and cost myself more money than need be. Plus, gas here in SW Oklahoma sucks. 91 with 10% Ethanol is best you can get. I sometimes think they fill with 87 in 91 reservoir and price gouge. Tbh car seems to run smoother on 87 than 91. As far as I am aware it's never been tuned. Probably just the timing pulled for octane loss making it seem smoother.

Found out why my car ran so poorly when I first started it after the first tune. I didn't include my newly ordered CAI on the mods list part of the questionaire. I ordered from AM/BAMA. Ordered a tuner/CAI combo. Well it wast even in my possession yet so I didn't list it. Guess I thought AM would think that way too. Wrong! My fault. Talking to the guys at BAMA and they figured it out. Sent me "new" tunes. I installed them and this time when I fired it up ran perfect. Lesson learned.

I did some logs on my tune from Bama and it looks really, really good for a first tune sent out. I ran it on the same tank of gas as another tune I have and I was getting 2.50 knock with Bama and 5.0 knock with the other tune. Swapped out the gas and am showing 0-1 knock and 5 still with the other tune. I have returned the V2 on my car. The other tune was making more power but I attribute that to the increased timing. The Bama tune was even adding timing. If anyone wants to see my logs feel free to ask. All the logs are really consistent and safe. I sent them over to the team on Saturday around 6pm so I will once again update with the turn around time. My car will be strapped onto the dyno Friday night and whoever gets me the revision first is going to see their numbers. Once again... Have faith in Bama, they've turned a new leaf.

Well doing some researching and reading this thread has bitten me too I ordered an X4 today with the V2 tunes 93 performance and 93 race can't wait! And it was even better that the forum discount covered the price of the window mount!

Has anyone with an A6 run with the Bama v2 tune in the 1/4?

I finally got to run my A6 2013 Mustang GT with V2 tune last Friday. I ran pretty much the same time as I did with the original Bama tune. My GT is stock except Roush axlebacks and Bama I ran 12.24 1/4 which is my besf time with the old tune. I don't think new tune is any better in performace but it is a lot smoother then the old tune, particularly 2-3 shift which was jumpy on the old tune.
