I posted this in my build thread, but it's buried at the back of it. Figured I'd pull it to the top with an appropriate thread title.

Combo is:

Aluminator 11:1 Crate Motor
Hellion Eliminator Twin 6266's
Circle D 3B
Lethal 2x465LPH return system with ID2000's
E85
Stock tranny
3.15 gears
Boss Intake Manifold
EBoost2 Boost Controller
Lethal Xpipe modified with
QTP Electric Cutouts
Stock OTA's and GT500 A/B
MSD 2-step (not installed yet)
2-relay transbrake (just in case the footbrake and 2-step don't get me where I need to be! LOL!)
MT Drag Radial Pro's
Peterson Catch Can
Battery Relocation to Trunk (Taylor Box and Flaming River Relo kit)

This does indeed need its own thread.

For those who don't want to watch the video, he made 960/851 wheel.

Thanks everyone. I'll only run it at those powers levels at the track. I love the EBoost2 controller. It defaults to the wastegate spring on startup which made 580 if I recall. Then I've got a set point at 10#'s which made 768 and a set point at 15.8#'s which made the 960. Those 3 settings ought to keep me pretty happy. The crazy part is we never ended up opening the exhaust cutouts. All runs were through the stock resonators, OTA pipes and GT500 AB's. I'm not sure how much boost it would put out if I opened them up and had already met my HP goal, so we just left them closed. I may do some testing with the lower boost settings with them open to see how much it picks up. Daniel from TSS did the tune and I'm very happy with them results!

Since you have a boost controller, opening the exhaust cutouts shouldn't effect boost. Just maybe how fast it comes in.

I drive around on my 980rwhp setting. Just gotta have tires that can hold it.

From my understanding, using the boost controller, you're setting the duty cycle of the solenoid. It's not actually working towards a given boost amount. You use the duty cycle to hit a target boost, but the duty cycle doesn't care what the actual boost amount is. So, if you have determined that 45% duty cycle makes 15.8#'s of boost, if you do something that increases the boost like opening the cutouts, the solenoids still operate at 45% duty cycle, not 15.8#'s of boost. It will gain boost...probably in the order of 1.5-2 psi which in my case could be 75-100hp.

Hopefully I can get the 2-step installed this week and get to the track in a couple of weeks. Me going to track doesn't really fit into momma's Mothers Day plans! Lol!

Badass car! Wouldn't uncorking the exhaust actually drop boost while gaining power?

yes, but he's at the limit of that aluminator. he's actually past the limit, with those rods.

without a block that is at least supported, if not sleeved, he's there. he may make more power with less boost/restriction by opening the cutouts, BUT theres not really a point because the boost isn't what's holding him back. he probably stopped there because that's the limit on the motor.

that's why I stopped. and I'm already pricing a sleeved motor.
