me, a close friend or two and my son have been working on a bug out plan for about a year or so. just in case kinda thing. enough canned food and survival supplies to last a long time. we have a site, way up in the mountains next to 2 natural springs. we could survive a rough winter or two and have enough weapons that seal team 6 would be proud of. i hope we dont ever have to put our plan into action, but i have peace of mind i will be able to survive. while i was on swat, we did some extensive training for search and rescue, man tracking for rough terrain which will come in handy also. part of our camp is partially underground, and covered very well.

do you have a plan?

We talking like zombie apocalypse?

There's a gander mountain and a grocery store right next to where i live. Get camping gear for shade / weather protection, and guns / ammunition, whichever, and camp out on the roof of the grocery store. Wont be self sustaining, and may not last long at all, but at the very least its a tactically sound position since the only roof access comes from a ladder on the back side of the building.

Everyone in Utah seems to have a cold storage room in their basements full of canned food and 12 gauge shells. It was weird to me when I moved out here. At first, my wife and I lived with her brother in the house they grew up in. I swear I found a case of ammo in every room including the kitchen at some point or another. Utah will most definitely survive a zombie apocalypse.

I dont want to survive, so not really anything. I have about 150rds for my Mosin, last round will be for myself.

Then again, that probably means id somehow be a survivor against my will out of sheer luck and get stuck having to deal with remembering the times in which we actually had civilization and dealing with the aftermath of extreme shittiness, loneliness, depression afterwards.

Not here. I really do need to get at least a small kit of essentials put together to last us a few days

Yes, camping gear, some food, water, ammunition for the rifle, two handguns, and shotgun, also extra tips and arrows for my bow, knives, 550 cord, fishing gear, medical supplies, needed clothes that are better for survival, etc...

Better to be ready and never use the stuff than to be unprepared and get tested.

I've got a bug-out bag with basic handtools, some thermal gear, a couple hundred 9mm and .223 rounds, MREs, and a Playboy.

No point in even worrying about it where I live.

I anything big happens I would never get out of Los Angeles by car.

It might be possible to get to the Marina and steal a big enough sailboat but that would probably be the only way out.

I am going to assume that the disaster is so big that there is no reason to try and ride it out at home.

I have a BOB in each car & 1 in the house. Plenty of food, ammo & water stored as well. However, my plan is to stay put since everything is here.

My entire family has a bug out plan and a place to meet out of the city. My mom put one together after 9/11. We all have a list of contact information, directions, addresses, and supplies in case we need to flee the city.

I need an actual plan.

Have enough dry food to last for a bit, and a few "camping" water filters. I should get a proper setup and plan together.

I have an army ranger pack on the ready, sucker is heavy. I figure if I had to leave in an absolute emergency, grid down, my life is in danger scenario, I'm grabbing my .223, .40, 870, pack, truck, 15 gallons of spare gas and I'm gone. Grid down and my life and property are not in immediate danger I'm buggin in. Lots of food, water, ammo, tools and things to get me through.
