Bunch of little updates this weekend

Felt good to open the garage up and see the Cobra again. Mild winter thankfully. Took advantage of the long weekend and made a handful of updates.

Refinished my PowerPipe as I wasn't digging the original finish. I sanded it down and sent it out to powder coating for a nice simple gloss black coating.

Also got a hold of some Ford GT coil covers(Powered by Ford). These are very hard to find and I got lucky and picked them up for a reasonable price(some people try to sell these for 500 bucks!). I sent the coil covers out and had them powder coated the same red of my valve covers. Then I spent about an hour painting the lettering black, which was a very tedious process. Very happy with the way everything turned out.

Also picked up a set of carbon fiber door pulls from Carbon Driven. I have been waiting a year for these babies to come back in stock. Adds a nice modern touch to the interior.

Up next is to install the Accufab TB and some other little misc things :)

Not today but over the weekend I polished and installed my tail pipes.

I'm so close to getting my IRS thrown in mine! I just have to finish up the FTBR install kit. How was your swap overall? What was your technique for swapping out the pinion flange? I'm not looking to crack open the pumpkin. How is the ride compared to the SRA?

Swap was really straight forward. Hardest part was flaring the brake line and that's not a hard task. Really close to what I would call a complete bolt in. Took my brother and I about an afternoon in all. Easiest to put the front subframe arms in first then lift the assembly in to attach the rear subframe mounts. I'm going to be running a t56 magnum so the guys at D&D performance are making me a driveshaft with the proper pinion flange for the 03 IRS. As far as ride I have no clue. Haven't got the thing off the Jack stands yet lol. Still need to install the clutch and trans.

I had a front bumper mishap with a uhual trailer back in November. We had to load the mystic up to go to the paint shop. New front bumper, fender liners, and headlight housings going in this week. On a plus side. The car fit in the new trailer like a glove!

Installed my t56 magnum last night. Now I just need to get the exhaust on, fill the trans with fluid, and wait on the driveshaft to get here, then I can finally drive the car for some break in miles before getting it tuned.

Nice work! How did your trans mount turn out?

Your pictures made it incredibly easy to know how much material to add, can't thank you enough for them! I still need to add vertical supports to the plate I had added but wanted to get it in the car first to know where to place them. My trans mount is a single bolt so I wanted to get it in to make sure the support plates aren't too close to the nut so I can still unbolt it.
