I don't see the GT350R ever selling below MSRP. Maybe the track pack GT350', I can see that eventually.

I can't really tell. Pretty deep tone. It definitely sounds like coyote architecture though. I think it might be the 5.2 without the flat plane crank, sporting a blower.

Perhaps

but something tells me people will be more attracted to a 700+ hp GT500 than a 500 hp GT350R

......... I know I would

Hell, give me the exact 350R package but blown 5.2 with a TR6060 and I'm buying.

Looked like a gt350 to me. Same brakes, wheels, exhaust. Is ford trolling us?

Wonder if they would strengthen the block if it is indeed the 5.2 & factory supercharged

Ford isn't "trolling" us. Travis had a dedicated forum created for a 2018+ GT500. Those in the know have already basically confirmed a new GT500.

I don't think anyone disagrees that Ford is working on a GT500.. Justa stating that the car in the vid might now be one. Ford is known to troll people by driving cars for no other reason than to get photos taken of it on the street.

im pretty sure its just a 350 with a facelift at the most. to me it sounds like it could be the voodoo at low revs exhaust flap open. I would be really surprised if that's a 500. I don't think ford will make another 500 for a while. I think they gonna ride the 350 for a while.

If there's a new ZL1 then it would make sense that Ford's GT500 isn't far behind. The '13 cars were released in summer of 2012 over 4 years ago and the last '14s left Flat Rock nearly 3 years ago.

Great color combo I love it on my '14 GT500.
Ford most def be doing a GT500 or variant above the 350. I feel they either stick to the Shelby heritage and continue the GT500 (likely limited run '17 50th anniversary GT500s just like they did the short run '15 350s) or they'll break lineage and return to Cobra name.
I'm happy either way, Ford SVT rocks

when the hellcat came out an svt engineer said "just wait till you see what we're planning"... to me that comment isn't the gt350 but something more powerful than hell cat....

just my.02 The car is coming it will have lots of power, i am curious as to how though... turbos, blower, 5.0,5.2, something else like the 6.2 or trinity maybe even just the ford gt motor. who knows.

5L coyote blocks are known to be problematic with high power, my research says the 5.2 block is strongest factory casting, thin wall or not.
-J

That may be the case but having a linerless block especially in a supercharged engine is very risky and expensive should something goes wrong. The Trinity guys are very reluctant to run big boost where the Terminator and early GT500 wouldn't bat an eyelash and install a big turbo or blower.

I'm afraid the new GT500 will be taking the same path. Feel free to mod "around the edges" but don't touch that engine! Keep in mind the car companies are going out of their way to lighten the engine which doesn't bode well for durability. The old 4.6 and 5.4 blown motors can easily cope with making twice the hp on mostly stock internals and are cheap to rebuild. Blowing up a Trinity engine would have me in tears.
