Is it the old engine redone or the new one with a skin?

The problem with the CODs after about blops or blops2 is the garbage netcode. Trying to jam way to much crap into a peer to peer based setup. This alone convinced me to go over to battlefield around bf3 timeframe.

Nothing like getting powned by a .50 k/D player cause the garbage setup gave his alamaba Walmart wifi the host. Or having to wait on "host left" dozens of times.

BF seems to punish those with bad connections, the way it should be.

I just recently purchased star wars battlefront on sale for my xbox one. Game play is way smoother/better than it ever was for me on COD. I only had decent quality game play in small games on COD. I don't know that I will go back unless I see a big change. I was hesitant with trying it as the larger games on COD never worked well for me, but I was pleasantly surprised.

But then again, they probably don't care as I don't buy games on day 1 any more. I don't remember the last time I spent more than 20-30 bucks on a game. Hell, I don't think I have ever purchased any of the downloadable content packs either. I don't play enough for it to be worth it. If I started playing consistently, I would consider throwing more money at it.

I want to say these are dedicated servers as I've not experienced an interruption in connection. As far as the engine, I'm 90% sure it's the old engine with very slight tweaks. It's mostly a major graphical update.

I am on the fence on buying it or not. I havent turned on my ps4 in months. I have been getting into long rpg games with an actual story but wouldnt mind some run and fun game once in awhile.

How does the game work? Two different level systems for each game? MW and IW?

Same here man... this is why I haven't bothered with COD for a while. I would still suggest BF1 to ya though if you like that old school feeling and people having to use weapons that have limited capabilities.

Remastered is a game by itself, you just can't purchase it as a standalone. It never crosses any stories, stats, etc. with IW.

MWR is everything I hoped it would be. Without the laser guns, jet packs, special skills, 8 million kill streaks, and neon lights, the multiplayer is so pure. This is exactly what I've wanted from a military FPS since MW2. I enjoyed BF3 and 4. But there is just something that I always preferred about the run and gun, faster pace of CoD. I may never log onto Infinite Warfare. My only request is that they bring back Creek.

I've been enjoying it, just turned the system off from playing it for a couple hours. Definitely a trip down memory lane, I remember being a senior in high school when it originally came out, and I had my license suspended for a year during that time, so if I wasn't at school or work I was playing the hell out of mw. It'll be better once they release the remaining 6 maps next month. I really hope this sparks them into giving mw2 this same treatment, 2 was easily my favorite.

IW is not what it was before especially after a bunch of the original MW devs quit sometime after MW 2

Yes after MW2 the creators (Jason West & Vencent Zampella) of COD and infinity ward had a bad break up with activision and a large lawsuit....when they left they took most of the employees with them and started a new studio called respawn entertainment and made the game Titanfall

I also spend a good amount of time on ps4 with cod, destiny, and a others...I work a 12 hour swing shift and it helps me switch back over to the night shift....but it does bring back a lot of memory's from when cod was a good game and I'll probably never play infinite warfare just the remastered

As mentioned below, the remaining six maps release as DLC next month! And for free at that!

Creek was hands down the best map.

May have to snag it up, because last night I couldnt get a kill for shit, and I was aiming directly at people and not even getting hit markers.

HA! Yeah Id loose my mind... not like Im good at these games anyways but it would piss me off. BF1 also has this great feature that I think really helps prevent campers as well... so if you get killed... it highlights that person in red and shows you exactly where they are.... and if they are camping they are dumb cause the maps are so big in most cases you almost certainly can skirt around them and smoke them if they are that dumb.... and trust me there are some that are lol.

it started to irritate me, and then just disappointed me. Like i'll turn a dude to swiss cheese and he's like BRO THAT HURTS and hits me 2 times with an M-16 = me dead.

K/D Is like a .96 with me lighting dudes up every single game, even tanya said 'that's bullshit' about 5-6 times yesterday. Its funny because I watch a ton of Streamers on Youtube / Twitch, and they all play on PS4. I asked a few why and they ALL said the hit detection on xbox is trash, and the controller has a millisecond or two of lag that just throws everything off. I miss my PS4...
