A few pics...
That's a Steeda cold air. Picked-up a roll of 2" wide self adhesive heat reflective from Jeg's. Not sure what the "cloth" like material is under the foil on top. Yeah, yeah, I know, the air moves so fast threw the pipe it doesn't have time heat-up. Now, tell me what happens when you sit in stop and go 5 mph traffic for 45 minutes to an hour. Anyway, for people that like to work on their cars it just gives you another project to enjoy.
Paid out the a$$, but I'm dig'n the carbon fiber engine cover. They offer two types, I picked the one that will allow for an aftermarket intake. The ST badge comes with the cover and you can apply it where ever you chose. That ST badge is bigger than the factory one on the hatch. In general, I'm not a fan of engine covers at all, but I think this beats the hell out of that plastic POS from the factory.
oke:***I noticed that Steeda doesn't tell'ya about the fact the hood prop rod isn't going to fit like It did with the stock set-up. I'm not going to cut the rubber gasket to make the prop rod fit back in the stock location. I'm sure this thing leaks enough air as it is. I doubt if it's sucking 100% cold air from the grill. I found that the prop rod sits on top of the battery box just fine. It stays-put when you drive around. So far with about a thousand miles I haven't noticed any wear on the box top or the cold air box.*****
