Just received a new (to me) 2004 Black Lightning...she came with intake, catback exhaust, and 20 inch rep. rims.

Running well thus far, now as for mods...any recommendations!? I am going to tweak some stuff on the truck, but not too much. My short list is as follows:

Motor:
Debating JDM Stage 2

Exterior:
Debating paint matching the front upper and lower grills to black, as the front grill housing/headlight surround has a hairline crack in it (between the upper grill and the hood).
Figure while I am getting the Grill Shell repainted, I could get the factory grills paint matched.
Emblems are gold, so I may go with stock chrome look, or may go for black emblems.

Suspension:
Lowering - Car is on 20 inch stock replica rims, so not sure if I should lower 1 inch up front and 2 inches in the rear or 2 up front 3 in the rear...or just leave it stock! Insight greatly appreciated.

Interior:
Upgraded radio (prefer the stock look, but bluetooth/backup camera etc are nice upgrades)
May redo the seats due to some minor pilling on the suede, but don't want to spend 700 to get new bolsters that will just pill up again in 6 months.

Mods I would do, in order if buying a stock lightning(skipping what you already have)

Basic maintenance, clean ic, oil filter, go through suspension and brakes and ensure everything is up to speed.
Valve body(new filter and fluid)
Stifflers long bars
4 or 6lb lower, plugs, maf, tune
Panhard bar
rest of suspension based on budget.

I am a huge fan of the hotchkis TVS with the spec'd bilstein shocks, but its not cheap at around $1500

If you just want a mild drop, shackles in the back and springs up front are more than ample.

Here is my truck on hotchkis

nice truck

I thought the TVS was a little rough riding. I ended up putting drop shackles in the back and drop spindles in the front, loved it.

This is my lightning lowered with belltech drop spindles, and JLP Racing's drop shackles on lowest setting. It also has 20" reps like your truck. It still rides like a stock truck.
